Won't order from EVGA again

Ordered a video card because I sold my cards last week and I ordered a 980ti last week. Took 6 days and I got an email saying it be delayed again so I said screw it I'll go buy cards from a store. Ups just said they would deliver tomorrow after all and I called EVGA to cancel it they said refuse it and when it gets back to them it will then be 7-10 days for a refund. LOL then you have had my money 28 - 30 days before I see my digits again in the bank. Terrible...

    I am very sorry to hear that you are unhappy with your purchase and to hear that there is some confusion with the shipping time frames. Please understand that your shipment was sent out on the same day that the item was ordered and it is scheduled for delivery within the time frame offered while placing your order online. 
     
    I can confirm that we do need to receive the product back to our warehouse before we can process a refund and I am very sorry for any inconvenience that this does cause.

    So you expect them to refund you the money on the video card that you bought from them before they even receive the card back?  Not sure any company will do that...

    Fortunately EVGA probably aren't charging you a restocking fee, like most other places do. Yup, those EVGA guys are terrible.

    That should have cleared things up. Everything was done correctly on Evga's end. I'm sorry your angry about the time frame, but that is how it works.

    The one take-away from all of this is EVGA needs to work on tracking information being sent out when it's actually needed. Not 4 days later. This is not a new issue. I've experienced the issue over the last decade around here. Something in the EVGA order-shipping process puts a low priority on getting the tracking email sent out same day something ships. It's a weakness in EVGA's otherwise good customer service. One would think that it would be something that could be fixed in the shipping process though.

    never had this problem, weird. I even just looked at email records going back a few years and every time I have placed an order I have received 2 emails the next day about it being shipped and with tracking info. Past 4-5 times its been stuff I ordered as soon as I got the notification it was back in stock. These were times I figured that shipping could be delayed but have not had that problem yet either.

    I didn't had the best experience either but you can't expect the refund to be done before they get the card back, if you want that buy it from Amazon :)
     
    What annoyed me is that you can't simply refuse delivery of the goods and have it sent back to the sender, you need to take them and send them on your own to EVGA, which in some cases means that you pay more for shipping them back than you paid for the goods in the 1st place.

    They have received my items before they issue refunds.  They never refund it just because I send them a tracking number, since they can't verify if I shipped the correct product back or not.

    Amazon give you a return label with tracking number to print out. As soon as that tracking number updates to say it has been picked up by UPS, Amazon processes the refund - that's how it always works for me anyway. Appears to be an automated process. Maybe it's only for Prime members?

    I only buy stuff from NewEgg.com
    I Order everything with three day shipping and get it next day. (their shipping hub is less than 100 miles from me)
     
    But newegg has better shipping options and better tarcking.

    Oddly my return went to buffalo and was delivered at the DOCK to some guy.  Why is your return address in Buffalo NY but you shipped it from CA.  Um

    I have had prime for 5 years, and only received refunds after items made it back to them.


    It takes Amazon 3 to 5 days to process my refunds.

    Pretty standard to not get a refund until they receive the item. My only gripe with EVGA is that I really wanted a Lanyard but shipping is just as much as the lanyard and I am maybe 3 hours away. I would think a padded envelope in the same state would be dirt cheap to send. I understand they have to make the price the same for everyone but it still seems like a lot for a Lanyard.
