Ok so my new psu has blown the 13 amp fuse while the pc was switched off. I had a look to see and found that the resistor next to the blue cap has blown causing burn marks to the cap and pcb. I'm worried that this can damage my pc.
Should I be worried ???

Can't upload pics but this happened when pc was off so don't want to know how bad it could have been if the pc was on. Do these psu's protect them selves from causing damage when there faulty?

    UPDATE!!
Ive been back to scan and had the psu replaced and my pc booted up thank god..... BUT for some reason I keep getting a strange smell while the pc is on. Its noticeable as its smells like that new motherboard smell you get when you first benchmark you pc and everything heats up for the first time . So it`s not a burning smell. "hope this makes sense" . Its more noticeable when you go towards the exhaust fan on the rear of the case.
At first I thought it was just me but my wife can smell it also!!!!
My pc is about 1 month old from being 1st built and all parts where in fully working order and I have never smelt it b4.
Im not sure what has happened but something has changed and im not sure where I stand as I cant rma any parts if they have been damaged or are going to fail as the psu was at fault so any damage caused was caused by the psu , also with the pc still booting up do I just accept it and hope for the best that no more damage is being done ?
Scan have advised me to contact you as this is out of there hands.
Any advice on the matter would be great .
    Many thanks Paul

Yes, that's definitely bad and needs to be replaced with an RMA.

EVGA warranty department should be open after the holiday weekend. That kinda sucks to be without a video board and PSU.
