He's asking $4,600 for it, Not too far from my house, I sent an e-mail asking some questions about it. 
Max I'm willing to spend on it is around $3,500, Depends, If the interior is good as well, I might go a little higher...
 

Black rims, looks lowered.. probably been thrashed by some boy racer. I'd give that one a miss.
 
What about Volkswagons? Something like a 2003 VW Jetta, they do around 40mpg city, 50 highway apparently, probably pick one up for $3-$4k. Bit of a grandma car, but it's just for the commute to work so who cares?
 
Here's one in Huntington Beach under $3k [link] that was just the first link searching "Los Angeles 2003 VW Jetta".

That was with the old EPA rating system, with the updated one it's 38/44 which still isn't bad, but not sure if you would be able to find a diesel 5-speed here in Cali.

A 240SX is going to get you just as much attention as your mustang. I highly suggest going with a 4 door sedan, something like a Corolla, Civic, Spectra, Elantra or Altima. They can be had for like $2,000 in pretty decent condition and they also get pretty good gas mileage.




The guy hasn't replied to me, I just came up to a pretty nice 1995 MB C220 (2.2L 4 Cyl, 22MPG combined) for $1,500 . It looks in good condition, So I'm going to check it out later today, If it's as good as it looks in the pictures, I'm gonna buy it.




Not too bad. Reminded me of looking at Lexus's recently... I've been thinking about changing up my vehicle for an early 2000's Lexus because they are actually pretty cheap and a lot of them were well taken care of.

Rush, if your died set on a 240sx don't pay more than $1K. And your better off getting a 300zx, if you can find a 280z in great shape.

Just, get ya a Civic or Accura Legend sedans....

California, Trust me, That is NOT a good reason to move here... There's no good reason to move INTO California.

If you live in SoCal, and plan on buying a civic, integra, or a 240sx prepare to buy the top of the line viper alarm system because these things get stolen so often it's outstanding.

No, it's gas you guys, did you not read his comment? He fills every 2-3 days, and I think the tank on the newer Mustang is close to 17 gallons. 17x3.60, that gets old really fast.

His car is LOUD, he doesn't want to attract police attention or be tempted to race anyone at street lights. It's better to play it safe in his case.

My average MPG = 12MPG.
On 5th Gear @ 65MPH on the freeway, The sound of my exhaust is still loud as hell
Tinted windows
No front plate
 
There's a couple reason why I don't want to drive it daily... lol.

slow down on the road, don't go to street races... your asking for trouble. If your willing to be irresponsible to laws on the road, got to be ready to accept the consequences. Let this be your saving grace freebie and drive like a regular human being in a mustang driving fast, driving crazy is just begging to be pulled over, and next time you get a sports car stay away from red... That's just asking for trouble, colors that stand out in general do. Get your car plasti dipped to a color that is not loud saying look at me... don't get red, a bright blue, a bright green, or even black. Grey's, forest greens, ugly flat dull tan like you see on many sedans. Watch your speed, and you will be fine...





Ooooor.. maybe don't follow the crowd of getting a loud exhaust where cops pull you over for being to loud?

No one ever thinks of that Idea and it's quite sad. I love having a Sleeper car. It doesn't stand out, its not loud but it moves quickly just the same. People who get bright red cars, deck it out with the super loud exhaust thinking its "cool" are the ones cops hunt for. But common sense isn't common. Its fine to have a muscle car, own one and be smart about it.

My aunt owns a Challenger...just gotta drive them smart and be smart. Not dumb.

Is it going to be a "trailer queen" as well? Since you feel the need to make it louder, it will only make it worse for you.
What is the reason or "need" to make it louder? I'm asking so I can understand your thoughts on it.

My next mod is Long tube headers, That makes it louder, But I want it for performance. As well as a cold air intake and a bigger throttle body, Which both make a loud suction sound (That's what made my 2013's engine sound loud as hell).
 
I'm going to drive it, But once a week beats driving it 7 times a week, agreed?

They've actually started many projects for this, But it won't change anything, I guarantee it. People who have cars, Do NOT want to take public transportation. I mean, That's why we have cars right?
 
Maybe if they made one that goes from my house to my job, Then I'll take the bus, But Why would I take 2-3 hours to get there, When my job is only 30 minutes away with heavy traffic (15 with no traffic).
