can i send my graphics card with the backplate on or should y remove it? i got the backplate one month later after receiving my card.

Since the backplate was purchased separately, I would suggest removing it before sending your card in. You would not get anything additional from us by including the backplate. You can keep it for the next card or sell it on our forums.

Well, I just had to bump this thread seeing as I am stepping up from a 980 with a backplate installed. Is that to say I can send it in with a backplate knowing I won't receive any compensation for it? I really couldn't be bothered selling it, and it just doesn't feel right to remove it either.

Will the  GTX980  FTW edition backplate fit on the 980TI?

If the card was sold with a backplate already installed you probably need to include it, if it was purchased separately you don't need to include it.
