That is why I am waiting here for the kits to become available.

Just received my kit but haven't opened it yet. I noticed an odd "tape job" on the packaging. There is a piece of tape over what appears to be a torn EVGA seal? Ordered from NewEgg. The box is labeled correctly - 980Ti - and the part number sticker on the box is for the correct part. Anyone ever gotten a box like this from EVGA / NewEgg before? I'll open it when I get back from the gym I guess, and hope there are no signs of use / that it is in fact the correct part :/

Opened it while on phone with NewEgg, they said packaging could've been damaged at factory and they just re-taped it. I opened it and the shroud's packaging was indeed sealed with the yellow sticker. Also the thermal paste has not been messed with and appears to be untouched as does the rest of the kit. They noted my account and if it doesn't work they'll swap it or return and waive any fees. I think I'm good. Happy hunting guys, hope everyone gets in on these asap.

BTW, any news on when more kits are going to be in stock? I just got an email from Amazon that the estimated date for delivery of the kits I pre-ordered is July 23-29. I am not sure how solid that is but it is something. Did anyone else that pre-ordered off of Amazon get an email about delivery? In the mean time I am still going to try to get them from this site so that I can cancel my pre-order.

Such BS I got the notification email to buy it. It said add to cart and I did then put in billing info and tried to pay and it said sold out and now it is sold out. It would have been a general courtesy to hold the stock after it was in my cart. Guess I'll just get the corsair hg10 n980 when it becomes available since your production supplier and customer service sucks!

Ordered thanks. I presume this will fit the Titan x just fine yeah? Considering I already have the 980 shroud on one of mine this should hopefully work with the other.

They are the same with a 'unique' shroud for each being the only difference.   Much talk and photographs in the different threads.

Thanks jlp209! I had setup two notifications to two different email addresses of mine. When the email came in I got two loud buzzes on my phone (it was was on a counter). When I saw what it was for I got on my computer immediately and clicked add to cart. Now the nervous thing for me was I added two to my cart and only one would show for my final order. I had to order these twice and each time I hoped it would work. Luckily it worked both times. I am not sure but maybe you can only order one at a time now.

Hell, i didnt even get the notification. 
 
Broken system, low availability, and no communication. It is like EVGA wants to lose customers.

I have even emailed customer service about my missing notifications and have gotten no reply back from them. It is like they are sticking their heads in the sand, hoping the issue will go away and the remainder of their fans will just gloss over the issues and blindly buy their products. EVGA you are the only ones producing these coolers, I have two titan X cards in my machine, treating your customers like garbage is not the way to go.

EVGA, this is ABSOLUTELY ABYSMAL support and the absolute last straw.  I had a page alert scanning the page for changes.  I had email notifications.  I literally RAN to my PC to order this, and it sold out from the time I clicked add to cart and process order?
 
You have lost a customer.  Seriously, thousands of dollars and four video cards later, I am walking away.  This is BEYOND unacceptable.  Shame on you, EVGA.  You used to have amazing customer service, what happened?  I wish I could return this card and buy another brand now.  I am disgusted.
 
I got "There was an error with your order click here to try again" ten times, and when it FINALLY went through, it was sold out.  This is ABYSMAL customer service, EVGA.  I never rant online like this but any other company would be driven into the ground treating customers like this.  What a shame.  What an utter shame.
 
Don't worry, I know nobody from EVGA will respond to this.

What ever you do, don't try to order them from a phone browser. You will get an error every time (at least for me that happened).
