I like my original Cooler Master V8 that I keep on hand in case my Swiftech pump ever dies. It works great and keeps my temps in check during RMA wait times. It doesn't seem to be available since Cooler Master updated their design. Although they work and look great there are concerns about its weight.

This Noctua unit is highly regarded also though I have never used one. There have been comments about it covering RAM slots but IDK.

I can still remember when ups dropped off my V8, I thought, what the hell! the box was like 24x40. then when I opened it I saw why. Possibly the best air cooler still to the day. But be aware, it is huge. I still have mine somewhere around here.

This is the one I've had for what seems like ages. It's more compact but still tall and heavy: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103055

Hmmm...thinking about it.  I can't help but be a little paranoid since I had an old H70 break at the pump connection point and cover two gtx 480s (it was a while ago).  Have a story on that:

So, the H70 was leaking on my cards and I only caught it cause I opened the case to put in a sound card (no temp changes, so it was a slow leak).  Called Corsair, sent pictures, and they even inspected the unit.  They deemed the failure to be on them and cut me a check for my gtx 480s after I sent them to Corsair.  Needless to say, they pretty much secured my loyalty, lol.

Still might use the H110i, but that paranoia still can't help but creep in after that scenario (even though Corsair was awesome in how they handled it).  Anyone have any advice on mentally getting around the "water in my case" feeling?

One thing I am going to do is actually run the H110i's pump in a plastic storage bin until the other stuff comes in (will be several days between the H110i arriving and everything else).  This way, if there is a leak, I might catch it during this time.

I'm even considering just using the H100i (yea, both are coming in, debating which one to return) with four of these babies that I have laying around for a complete push/pull (or just pull if there isn't enough room):

Also, just got a third EVGA gtx 970 SSC.

I had the hose pop off of an H80i but that happened before I installed it. The hose wasn't seated right and when I pushed it all of the way on, it just popped off and sprayed coolant everywhere. It's green coolant in case you're curious. The biggest gripe about my Corsair H80i is that the pumps keep failing. The first time after 3 weeks and the second time after about a month. I use RealTemp to monitor my temps in the system tray plus it will sound an alarm and then shut down my PC using a .bat file if it ever exceeds the temp limit I set. RealTemp saved my bacon several times.

So, running it in a bit for at least a little while outside the case sounds like an awesome idea.

Ok, so what happened to Newegg?  I have one where the tracking number wasn't even loaded, one that isn't showing any status other than UPS billing received, and the thing getting here the fastest is the computer case (shipped by itself from Indiana) which WASN'T EVEN PREMIER available!  It is getting here two days earlier than everything else.  Lol.........

So, they are loading the tracking number on this big order (the H110i with fans), but everything else is on UPS.

But still, I have both the H110i and H100i coming from Amazon.  I have four cougar 120mms that I can use on the H100i but if I go with the H110i, I am probably going to do one set of fans.  Which pump should I use?

On top of that, should I push air from the top and force it through the radiator, or pull it through the radiator from inside the case to the outside on the top?

Keep in mind that the hot air will be blowing directly onto your video boards. I would have it blowing out. The H80i worked fine drawing cooler air into the case but that is a smaller radiator mounted on the back of the case blowing everything forward and not down.
NewEgg is funny that way. They drive me crazy when they pay a shipping company to pick up my package just to drive it to the post office instead of having USPS pick it. After that it sits in a warehouse waiting for USPS to pick it up from there. Then it sits some more in a post office in Maryland waiting for USPS to ship it here. It makes no sense to me since USPS will pick up any package from NewEgg for free and ship it anywhere in the USA.

Oh, so push air out the case, got it.  However, do I go H110i (and get two more fans that are Corsair, but not the same as the stock ones), or go with the H100i and replace all the fans with my 120mm Courgar fans and go push/pull (if room allows it)?

Thoughts?

I would use the Cougar fans for the best airflow. I have some too and I really like them. My main PC is busy Folding right now. I am stuck using my old Core2-Duo laptop.

I see, but that would require using the H100i over the H110i.  Is the H110i that much of an improvement from the H100i?  If I went with the H110i, would the stock fans still do good, or should I get other ones?  If I do, what are solid 140mm fans to get?

Also, from what I am seeing, there are only two connectors on the pump for fans, so I would have to attach the other two somewhere else?

the Corsair fans that come with both are there new static pressure fans and will work fine, but as I posted earlier, you can only do a push/pull inside that case with 15mm thick fans.
You could put 2 on top of the case but even then you will need to order more 6/32 screws because they only come with 8 long and 8 short rad screws tehy are 6/32 thread
You should be fine with just 2 fans with either cooler but you had mentioned that you may want to OC the cpu , thats why I suggested the h110, the only difference is it has a larger rad than the h100.

oh, and as far as 4 fans. you would need two  2 into 1 4 pin fan adapter cables. Only 1 connector in the adapter has a sensor wire and it would control both fans speed thru the Corsair link PWM

Oh, I see.  I could put a splitter on each of the connectors and each one would control two fans at once.  Great idea!  But, if I just stick with two, would it be better to do a push into the case, or a pull out of the case?

I would go pull/out, with the fans between the top of the case and the rad.

Ah, that is what I will do. Now to debate between the H110i and the h100i. Both are coming in and planning to return one of them. Looking at both, the only design issue I have with the h110i is the corsair link port is in a funky spot on the pump. I also like the fact that the pump/tube contact point no longer pivots. I had a h70 leak at that area one time.
