I have my single core multiplier set to 47 and my all cores at 44. At adaptive voltage setting my motherboard is supplying 1.283v, I would like to restrict it to 1.20 only, if possible. But could not locate any option to do so? Manual says the override will consistently feed the specified voltage which is not what I want.

So how can I ask this mobo to set a max target voltage for CPU; max not consistent.

Thanks

P.S.: Just to be clear I have a z87 board and I posted this same question in z87 forum but got no response. I am just trying my luck here considering most of the BIOS options are same.

When you select adaptive voltage you also have the option of setting an "offset" voltage. This offset helps you add higher voltages when the cpu is under load but keeps the voltage low otherwise... If you didn't add an offset, yet the cpu is still going to 1.283v under load, and you want to decrease it, see if you can put a negative number here... Not sure if you can but worth a try.

Thanks for your response, will try it. So this board does not have a straight option to set maximum CPU voltage.

Yeah I think if you set the voltage to adaptive but put in an actual value into the override setting it will just run at that voltage. If I recall correctly, I tried to use the override to set a target voltage under adaptive mode but it didn't work. U just need to see what your cpu is running at under load then adjust the voltage with the offset value accordingly. Im pretty sure you can input a negative value here too now that I look at the bios screen.

Alright thanks, I will try with negative value.
