Just wondering if it would be ok to start a thread where people can get an idea of where they are in the step up process??
For example... Running a thread with a title like "06G-P4-4991-KR Step-Up Processing Queue #"... where people could simply post something like "My Step-up ID # ******* was just processed"
We all have a unique Step-Up queue # based on first-come first serve. We are NOT all going for the same card, so each thread would have to be for each model video card available in the step-up program. Yes.. I know that it would not be a direct indicator of an ETA, but it would be much better than the "nothing" we get right now.
I understand that if you have step-up id #***1099, going for model 4991, and then ID# ***1098 gets process for model 4993, that doesn't mean anything about the ETA for your card. That is why we would need separate threads for each possible step-up model target.
The biggest question is... do the unique Step-Up ID #'s hold any value other than just being a queue #? Would this cause a problem with your request by posting your Step-Up Queue#? I do not recall seeing anything from EVGA that says "do not give this number to anybody"...
Thoughts?
