I already have an EVGA SLI bridge that looks rather cool between my two EVGA Superclocked GTX 980s. I run them to my 4K 60Hz G-Sync Acer.

Now, what actual differences would I see moving to this new bridge.

In your situation primarily appearance. These new ones have aluminum shroud, improved LED lighting, shielded fingers, and a higher pixel clock. There were some cases that in some games/resolution/refresh rates would cause compatibility issues with older generation bridges. (Like flickering, etc)

I had the first genertion SLI PRO, I actually found the LED light on hit quite bad, both bridges I got had different brightness and soon after 5 months of use the max brightness was cut down to more than 50%

So id like to get specifics on "Improved LED lighting" is on these V2's

Using dual Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 (I know, how dare I...). Got the last generation SLI Bridge from EVGA and the LED works, does that mean I can expect the same this time?

What do I need for my 2 x Titan X's? I would like a 3 way SLI Bridge. Will the 3 way SLI Bridge v2 work with only 2 cards? I'll be using slots 2 and 4 on my motherboard. Anyone?

Asus Maximus VII Formula, which SLI bridge would I need? The 2 way 60MM long one I'm guessing?

Just in case anyone else has this same MOBO, the SLI bridge needed is the 60MM long one, I have tested it.

Cancelled my AMAZON order and grabbed one directly from EVGA as they magically came back in stock a few hours ago. Time to order that second 980.

I did the same thing Cancelled on Amazon as soon as I got email from EVGA!

Hello all!

I'm running a 2x980tis and a x99-gaming g1 wifi:

The optimal slots to use are the PCIE_1 and PCIE_2, for a dual card SLI. So, its the top most slot, and the slot just between the WIFI card, and CMOS battery. I've measured the distance between the slots at to be 90mm, and I am currently using the 3ways SLI bridge (I rather the hard bridge) provided with the mobo. I measured the connectors on the 3way bridge at 90mm as well.

I love the EVGA PRO bridges, but, lovely as they are,  they are measured to be 40/80mm.

I know these distances are supposed to be uniform, so I must be insane. Just looking to confirm that a 3 way EVGA PRO SLI bridge will function on the above MOBO with the notes slots populated.

Thanks and sorry in advanced.

EDIT:
This is the bridge I'd like to buy:

if you measure from the top of one PCIe connection, to the bottom of the lower PCIe connection, that'll add another 10mm, you need to go from the middle of both really, so the 80mm one (3 way/2way) should work, I'm not aware of any motherboard that has odd spacing like that, as it would interfere with the expansion slots in every case out there, best to measure again from the middle of each slot if you didn't do that.

One thing I'd also like to ask is what it meant by "High pixel clock design optimized for 4K+ and 120Hz+ gaming."

does that mean for 4k gaming at 60hz, as well as 120hz gaming at lower resolutions (like 2560x1440?? or does it mean 4k at 120hz (no monitor options for that exist atm that I know of)

I just placed my v2 bridge on and she looks sweet with the white Evga logo,if it helps I used the "long" 2way bridge on a Asus x99 Deluxe mobo for x2 980's.Very beefy bridge and I know it's only cosmetic but it completes the look I was going for being an all white led build.

The complete lack of stock for these bridges, especially the 2/3-Way in Europe, is simply ridiculous. They're obviously popular and have been for months. Increase manufacturing. It's that simple.

Thank you so much for this!
Perhaps eVGA should update the article page for Pro SLI bridge V2 and mention that the LED light will work on 980 Ti cards too.

I should note the settings for it are a little screwy.  GeForce Experience is used to control the LED lighting for the 980 Ti's and they work just fine but when you try to control the bridge, it's all backwards. When you set the settings to "On", the bridge's LED turns off and by changing the settings to "Off".......you get the idea.  I could just be an anomaly here but it still works.

This is really confusing... so which one would I need for SLI on an Asus x99-s motherboard? According to the manual I would need to use SLI in the 1st and 3rd x16 slot, but there is a x4 slot in between them, so I guess it would make it the 1st and 4th slots on the motherboard...

I ordered one of these, although I am NOT a fan of the way it looks.  I like the slick, clean, look of the ASUS ROG Bridge, but I only use their motherboards, so I didn't want that one :-(  Maybe I could grab it and have NatemanDoo redo the logo to match what I want :-)

A bit late to the party but after searching for this answer and finding nothing conclusive on the Internet I took the plunge and got myself this v2 model (the long way, 2 way sli model), I have two GTX 980 G1 GAMING cards from Gigabyte and can confirm that not only does it look awesome it also lights up. All I did was fit it and switch on nothing extra required. I hope that helps anyone else looking for this answer. :D
