As it says in the title when I play GTAV it changes my core clock from 1261 to 549 and never moves. It remains set at 549 ecev after I close the game down. Im on driver 352..86.GTVA is the only game this happens in. Any ideas?

Change power management mode inside the nvidia control panel to prefer maximum performance, reboot pc, better?

I aleady have prefer max power and single dispal perf mode selected. Tonite was the first time this happened. If I play Call of Mordor my setting stay the same and I even tried a bench, Heaven, and my clock speeds stayed the same.

You'll most likely need to modify your vbios and disable boost to correct the issue.

I run the skyn3t bios disabling boost already. What has me is this just started yesterday, I had not updated to diff drivers or anything it just started running at 549 and then stayed there until I restarted the computer.

In that case you may want to try installing driver 350.12 to see if it has the same issue.

Looks like it's your overclock that is the issue. 1261 with precision installed vs 1046 without it installed.

Usually clocks stuck at 2D performance speed until reboot means that the Windows WDM detected hardware instability and NVIDIA drivers responded by locking the clocks for stability and to prevent further faults.

Good call. Geforce Exp reads my sys as having 6gbs of vram instead of 3 and sets the graphics accordingly. I set the graphics down to below 3gbs of vram, it looks like crap by the way, and not only did my clock speed not downscale it didn't even get upto the 1261 that my oc set it to. Going to try an older driver as this never happened before I love how the newer "optimized" drivers and "updated" GeForce exp setting always make the performance of 7xx cards worse.

Went back to 350.12 and maxed out the setting with the 1261 clock speed no prob. Ran the bench avg frame from bench 67fps, avg from Precx16 134fps. Does anyone know y the avg from precx is 2x the avg from the bench? I still want to know y the new driver makes the performance suffer instead of improving it?
