I've been using this board for a few months and haven't done too much overclocking, just a quick 4ghz (Uncore stock) with my 5930k and 16gb Corsair (The best Hynix IC's) and DDR4 @ 3200 15-15-15-35-1T-1.4v. Nothing major. Today I noticed while getting into Uncore & RAM overclocking, this board has some major flaws that I feel should be addressed. I can replicate every single issue I am about explain. I can and will make an HD video of this if someone from EVGA would like me to do so. When setting Uncore in BIOS to 40x then changing any of the individual CPU multipliers, the Uncore reverts back to 3000mhz. The board also exhibits this behavior with the multi at 40x with all the CPU multi's set and pressing enter on the Uncore set at 40x. It will go back and forth from 3000mhz to 4000mhz. Here are the issues: 1. Uncore cannot be overclocked past 36x. Intel XTU will allow 1 further adjustment, only 1x however (The Uncore multi also has to be set 1x higher than your CPU multi for it go up at all, I did this with a 40x CPU multi and a 41x Uncore multi. This resulted in 37x Uncore). Anything past this crashes no matter what RING voltage. 2. There is no 1:28 RAM multiplier. Noticed this while overclocking RAM. The RAM I use is very versatile, so when trying to get a handle on certain BCLK/FSB combos I noticed there was no 1:28 multi. 3. PCI-E 1.0 1x devices to not work unless you set them from Auto to Gen 1 or Gen 2, I used Gen 1 and a Sound Blaster ZxR (Not sure if this affects all PCI-E 1x devices). 4. When the above scenario is in play & Gen 1 or 2 for PCI-E 1x add in card has been set, the PCI-E 3.0 16x link used by the GPU randomly links at 8x instead of 16x upon bootup (can be confirmed by entering BIOS, Windows also confirms this) 5. So. I believe those 5 issues are quite serious. I personally haven't found any other issues that are specific to this board, however these definitely need attention IMO. I have ranked them in order of (what I think) severity as well. #5, from what I can tell, does not affect functionality. I do not think when the malfunction happens & the Uncore is actually being set to 3000mhz. I believe it only looks as if it's set to 3000mhz. I hope this is taken seriously. I could live with the fact that every Asus board with their "OC Socket" could clock their Uncores higher than us without a doubt. But BIOS Limited to 36x? Why? Was this intentional? I was under the impression that the Classified brand was your best offering. I have used other X99 board (3 to be exact) & they have not exhibited issues like this one has. I've never seen legitimate findings ignored on this forum anyway. So. EVGA, I await your response. Thanks! Ty *edit* Wanted to mention the hardware in my sig is current and in use for anyone wondering what my config consists of (Getting that SM951 was not easy).

Sorry to hear about all your problems. I'll start by saying, I am not too OCing savy but got my CPU @ 4.5 GHz yesterday with only messing with the multi and the Offset voltage. It was fairly easy surprisingly. I still haven't done hours long benches but I did many 30 min ones which might mean nothing to some but to me was enough to keep going. I've gamed on it with no issue. I agree there are some issues with these boards but they've done a decent job coming with BIOS updates on them. I have a XP941 only because unfortunately, the X99 Classified only came with a M.2 PCI-E 2.0 and not a 3.0 otherwise I would have waited for the SM951 as the SM951 is 3.0 but still a tad faster at 2.0 as compared to the XP941. I couldn't originally get it to work but once I got Windows 8.1 which I couldn't stand and am using now, it worked just fine. Also, make sure you don't format it with 3 party software or windows as that can damage it AFAIK and I recall. Hope your issues get ironed out.

this is all good feedback. I've noticed hard boot lockups requiring CMOS clears with changing uncore and ring ratio to anything other than auto. I wonder if this is the proper forum or if there is an official way to report bugs to EVGA?

This is the forums to do so. Just create your own thread with the issues at hand.

have you tried to replicate OPs issues. I think hes right at least with the Uncore and Ring Ratio. And is the OPs suggested Memory Multiplier objectively there or not there on your BIOS options? I think this is how BIOS get better they get feedback and this is solid actionable feedback.

Yes it is, but no need to add " This boards BIOS is severely flawed." feedback is that feedback on a product it is not saying that your products is flawed. I also look at this a threating question and not an asked question of EVGA. And last I see to many Posts like this and the OP never responds to anyone's comments that have been posted to their Own Thread. This is an EVGA Bios and not AUSU or MSI, EVGA works with their users One on One with Bios issues and problems that may come about. They Support their own very well, You yourself even said "this is the proper forum or if there is an official way to report bugs to EVGA? " And my answer or response to your question. No because the OP has the i7-5930K and I have the i7-5960X. I would still like to know what the other 3 X99 Motherboards are, I might get one to pay around with.

Same goes for me, Uncore Clocking cant be done,, Can gett it upp to 3.7ghz Sett Ring Voltage to 1.350 Just to know that i have Enough Voltage, go to 3.8, NO BOOT have to Clear CMOS, And I want to Know how much the System Agent Voltage is running at, Not just som offset, Without knowing the Voltage of it
Hope there is a New Bios versjon coming out soon, The system feels very Unstable With the issue of Uncore GHZ,
