Geforce2 MX cooler

So I got a Dell Geforce2 MX 64mb SD-RAM MS-8826 ver 30b

It has no mounting holes for the Heatsink, but I also don't trust any GPU newer than about 1997 to run passive, so I took an old S370 cooler and mounted it with what I had on hand.





Yes those are rubber bands,  Wanted something non conductive, and I'm all out of large Zip ties, so rubber bands.

    Bravo for ingenuity! Keep an eye on those rubber bands, they may deteriorate faster with higher temps. I'd hate for them to break on you and have the heat sink fall off then damage something.

    short term solution will be buying some heavy duty zip ties next friday
     
    and I agree, it would suck, below it is in this order
     
    Maxtor ATA100 Controller Card
    3Com 10/100 Nic
    ALI USB 2.0 Controller Card
    SoundBlaster AWE 64
     
    This is all inside my K6-3 system

    I'd try and find an old P4 with pcie(gpu) vs AGP, any reason for this the really older AMD?

    lol yes, because it also plays DOS games like Doom, Duke3d, WarcraftII, Colonization, SimCity 2000, and DOSBOX is not an option i like the real deal :P
