Ok, you now need to run Install #2. You don't need to run DifferentSLI Patcher or Install #1. I googled myself in here in a state of panic. But man... whatever voodo this was. It worked! Cheers! and btw... Why did the sli stop working just because I switched the cards around. The top (780ti classified) runs about 15-20 C hotter than the bottom one, so I wanted to see if was the card itself or the position that F things up. But again! thanks! :) SLI shouldn't have stopped working from just switching the cards around. Sounds like an SLI bridge/SLI finger issue. Are you running them sandwiched together or is their a gap between them? I thought the top ones where hot. But it seem its the same card that has an issue(?). Since it gave me a day of error-hunting I'm not too keen to move them around again. But I might have to. But they should be pretty much even in temp yea? I have them hooked up to Corsair link and run the fans pretty high. The case is a Corsaire 540, witch should be pretty ok for airflow. I'm not convinced of the design though. most of the air goes though the top if you ask me... #45

Yes, both cards should be pretty close in temps. My cards run at 60/62C when both are at 95-99% load, however, I'm using stock blower coolers instead of ACX. Try running Unigine Heaven 4.0 @ max settings to see how hot both cards get. blue4shizzle New Member Total Posts : 5 Reward points : 0 Joined: 2015/05/28 13:19:55 Status: offline Ribbons : 0 Re: Can't SLI 780 6gb 2015/05/28 17:05:25 (permalink) ok, thanks man (you really are awesome) so now im back to square one... sli is enabled through the differentsliauto hack, but i get the flashing screen when in full screen- which can be worked around by switching to borderless mode. i know its not caused by the sli bridge, since apparently im not using it now, but think anyone can shine some light on why so many bugs are needed to be worked around considering how sli is supposed to work flawlessly when using the same model? i have an evga 970 paired with a msi 970 if that matters the flickering happens on every game i try (far cry 4, watch dogs, tomb raider, witcher 3, shadow of mordor, etc) ive tinkered with the resolution settings in the nvidia control panel, and it seemed to fix the flickering last time but then thats what caused the display driver to stop responding with the kernal error, **** lol it never ends post edited by blue4shizzle - 2015/05/28 17:08:49 #54
