I am sure it is a sad day for Chuck. I remember when Hershey had surgery back in 2012. I even helped out since I am a animal lover and owner myself. I will donate some money before the weekend to help a fellow member and friend. Sad when you lose a man's best friend. I have seen that dark road before and know exactly how it is. My sympathy goes out to you Chuck. Hang in there bud.

Figured I would post an update in here. Hershey is back home now... I picked her ashes up yesterday. SOOOOO not easy let me tell ya. I mean. It';s there, she is there but she isn't. This sux lemme tell ya.

I had to put my dog down this year and it sucked way more than I thought it would. The whole time, I thought I would be "the man" and just take care of it but when they gave my dog the shot to put her to sleep before the actual shot to stop her heart, I just about lost it. I thought I wanted to see her before she died but seeing her legs give out and then have her trying to fight the drugs and looking around, I felt horrible. We tried to keep her calm but I'm sure she was confused and scared. I love animals but I hate losing them. Really sorry for your loss.

When I took her into the vet everything seemed ok, she was weak, didn't wanna do much, looked at me responded to me saying her name then ten minutes later her eyes kinda widened and she just went. And I went too. I mean. I dunno... I just hope she heard me say goodbye.

Thanks KW. Things have been going decent thus far but little things keep reminding me of her :) Tomorrow I am taking her to Portage lakes to lay her to rest. I can't think of no better way to spend my birthday than with the best friend I could have ever had.

While I do appreciate the thought man I don't want a new puppy. I can't afford to have a new puppy, it wouldn't be fair to the lil guy/gal because I don't have the time I did when Hershey was young. I don't have that free time to house train, or teach or anything. Hersh was so goo I could leave her here 8 hours a day and she would feed and water herself and IF she had to relieve herself she fdid it in the basement on the concrete where it was easy to clean up. My dad is here all the time but he can't be trusted after his fall 4 years ago that messed his head up. Seriously I DO appreciate it, but until things turn around it's not yet time. I wish the rose petals looked better, but they were bought by a friend WAY too early. Either way, she was put to rest on her bed of roses.
