I'm getting a black screen after the 'starting windows'. No mouse cursor, nothing. This started after I had to bake my GPU due to it failing. I can boot into safe mode, but not normally. It's time for a new OS install anyway, just wanna see if I can get a temp fix.

My Laptop (GE63VR-7RF):
-7700HQ.
-16GB RAM.
-GTX 1070.
-128GB SSD.
-1X 1TB 7200 spinny drive.

    Sounds like your GPU is completely done now.

    It's weird because before, if I just went into safe mode, then booted normally (via restart) it would work fine. Now that doesn't work anymore :/.

    I've had cards that needed baking more then once.

    Bake it again..GPU side up..200C/390F..10 minutes..If that don't fix it, you could use this alternate method for a permanent "solution"

    * Corsair Obsidian 450D Mid-Tower - Airflow Edition * ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero (Wi-Fi AC) * Intel i7-8700K @ 5.0 GHz * 16GB G.SKILL Trident Z 4133MHz * Sabrent Rocket 1TB M.2 SSD * WD Black 500 GB HDD * Seasonic M12 II 750W * Corsair H115i Elite Capellix 280mm * EVGA GTX 760 SC * Win7 Home/Win10 Home *

    I think ill just contact the seller that sold me the GPU and RMA it. Would rather not mess with it again.

    Sounds like a EFI boot problem.  Have you tried a different port on the video card?  You would be surprised that it could just be that.

    Yea I did. I popped my spare 6670(?) in it and it runs just fine. I'm almost worried it's my PSU, but I have no way of testing it.
