Calibrated monitor. Dell U2412M and Colormunki Display. I cant get my profile to stick with the Witcher 3. Anyone figured something out yet to get this working? I noticed this with all games I play. It sucks because the colors are so off compared to being calibrated. I even tried CPKeeper and that don't even work.




Use SweetFX. Its awesome. Works for almost every game and makes them look much better.

Yeah. I'm serious. Corrects the game's cartoony colors and makes it more atmospheric. If you use SweetFX along with ReShade that reworks how some of the game is actually rendered, you get a much better looking game.

So, I checked out the game, played it for maybe 2 hours or so. Does anybody have a problem with how the vegatatiion in the game looks? It looks like it was slopped on there and released it quickly. It's like they wanted you to focus on the Witcher, and not look at the trees? I dont know about any of you, but i check out everything on the screen, not just the character.

The vegetation looks like a painting in some perspectives. It's not the average entities you'd expect from a video game (as a good thing). I really like the style. I'll show you what I mean.

Waste of time and money for me.  I was interested in the story and the preview looked good.  I played for about an hour and I'm bored with it already.  Maybe I'm just not into this kind of game.  I'm more FPS type.  Plus I can't change any keyboard bindings and I need to use autohotkey.... Lazy DEVs... this would be my last game for this type of console port games.  Anyway I could get a refund? lol

i'm exactly right there with you. This is sort of how I felt. I'm going to try and give it another chance tonight. What would have been a better idea for the witcher series would have been the ability to choose a "specific class". We get it... he carries 2 swords around and kills bad guys. What about a witcher with a bow

Not all games need to be fast-paced but I know everyone's likes are different.

Does the Witcher 3 support the DS4? 
 
I thought I read that it did, except when I plug mine into the computer it doesnt work.

I like how Nvidia makes you choose between 30fps, 60fps or higher with stutter, or drivers that crash while browsing Chrome... Nvidia is top notch with drivers these days...

Anyone who has played through this enough care to comment on how awesome that is ??
 
Some friends have told me they have come across some monsters in their travels that have 3x ??? marks above their head ,  not sure if that means the game won't tell you their lvl or that it is so high  ???

No level cap will be nice down the road well into the game...
 
As far as the monsters go, as you're exploring around and come across a monster,  it'll have a red skull with a number next to it if it's level is higher than yours.  So if I'm at a level 5 & the monster is a level 9, you'll see the red skull with a 9x.  Best to turn & run since you can't defeat it...
 
If the monster is of equal level or less than yours, you won't see the red skull meaning you should be able to defeat it.  Although not always very easy...

Are you using MotionJoy with DS4?  I'm not sure it's plug and play on PC.





The DS4 is plug and play in some games. And according to the Witcher 3 Devs and their controller config file, the DS4 should be supported. 
 
MotionJoy just emulates the Xbox Controller. I want to use the Playstation icons as well. Far Cry 4 allowed this. So did AC Unity.

There actually isn't a level cap. But, I'm at level 35 with very few quests left to do (finished the main story). Of course there are two expansions with roughly 30 hours or so of added content coming out later this year and sometime next year.

Beside the Play button, there is a grey button. Clicking it reveals a drop down menu. There should be an option for Extras. It will show a new page with all of the content provided for the game. The bottom left shows the DLCs. Clicking the circle with the down arrow in it will download the selected file. Note: you'll have to install them manually. I'll make a guide soon.

I see patch 1.05 released yesterday.  Lots of changes and fixes etc...  I haven't played since the update yet to see how things work.
