Metrovania Symphony of the Night had many successors. Symphony of the Night re-wrote the rules of how Castlevania games should look and feel and the majority after it followed the similar recipe. What we need is a spiritual successor to Super Castlevania IV.

Poor title, advertising, and presentation then, isn't it? Additionally, I highly doubt they will make the classic Castlevania IV experience fully and properly. I am not talking about just giving us sprites and platforms so it feels old, I mean the whole level layout and experience as well. No leveling up weapons or any of that other RPG stuff started by Symphony of the Night. Classic Castlevania where the challenge is hard but fair and the only factor which determines whether you live is your skill. Classic Castlevania IV with perfect controls and challenge leaving you constantly begging to find another porkchop.
