I finally pulled the trigger and upgrade my mother board because I thought that's where my instability issues were coming from and as soon as I spend my money I come to find out its the PSU. Granted it should still be under warranty but man a variance from 11.979 or something to 12.122 on my 12v rail shouldn't cause my games to crash. So either the gpu I tested in another less powerful machine is faulty or my psu is on its way out. Man computers are worse than cars and women combined lol.

    Agreed.... :P

Did you notice such variance with voltmeter.
I never buy something to replace broken hardware before I'm sure what cause problems.
I decide to upgrade before some problems start to show up. And off course because now is good time with cheaper DDR4 for 100-120$ than in first months and special because good CPU is available i7-5820K, cost almost same as i7-4790K but new memory, more cores, flux solder, and who knows what will happen for 12-18 months...
Intel ask 500$ for Broadwell, what will stop them to ask same for good Skylake and 600-700 for Skylake Extreme and who knows what will they confess before he show up, cold bug, some other bug... Now this X99 is at least good platform.
But performance difference will be 10-15% max.
And I used first chance for cheaper sealed i7-5820K because I payed him 30$ more than i5-4690K or I could buy 5930K for 50e less than 4790K but that would be 100e more for nothing.
Sorry second chance, first I missed in October, in same time when I notice to late 5960X for 550e.
DDR4 GSkill 3000 MHz now cost 180$, no more excuse for investing in Z97 for people who think to build more expensive variants of 1150 with 4790K. Now is chance for good platform for next years.

Intel and NVIDIA are unique, they ask more money for less material.
Why we can't buy more gold for less money, or more silver, or more oil for less money.

I'm upgrading as soon as tax season rolls around again. The misses said if I buy a new cpu and such she'd buy me a titan, so I'm upgrading when I get me some tax money. So I just need to get by until then but damn if it's not being a pain in the butt plus I spent all my evga bucks on the mobo

I dropped my over clocks and everything is now stock and still having issues. Now the computer is apart and I've used a mole and tested it that way and got 12.18 now this was off the ide/sata side and not the cpu/pcie side so I don't think it's relevant. Trying to find a way to test off the 6+2 pin or 8 pin however it should be called.
