If it was that good. Common sense says players would not have left. Or is that to much logical thinking?

I am looking forward to the DLC. I love playing this game. May not be for everyone, but EA's reputation doesn't help in sales.

If Hardline was a good game, its player base wouldn't be in the shape its in on the PC. Just over 2 months old game can barely stay above 4k peak player count for a 24hour period. BF4 peak players for 24h period is 26,255.

    Hardline
April 17th peak player count 7,200
May 22nd peak player count 4,100
A loss of 43% of it's player base in a month

I dont think it's because the game is "bad" its because there is too much competition out there to keep Battlefield Hardline ahead of the game.

What First Person Shooters came out in the past 2 months. Hardline player base was already tanking when GTA V was released on the PC.

All this DLC will do is split the small population that is left and fade the game even faster.  Half will play the DLC as they have premium, the other half doesn't and wont.

I would play it occasionally, if they would update their plugin to not require me to enable something that Google has said they will end in Sept. fully. NPAPI. Haven't played any EA games since then actually. Since, that was the only game that I was really playing, VERY occasionally, from EA.

Very true. We have seen this proven in the last two Battlefield games on PC. The DLC causes a bumb in players for about a week and is then followed by fragmentation to groups of gaming buddies, frustration to players, and turmoil in server usage.

They don't want people to stick around too long, they have another BF game rolling out yearly...

I don't believe that. They want players to play their games. They want the reason for the next pruchase to be because the previous game was so good. They want a mass of addicts who are looking for their next fix game after game; players who buy the next game because it is new and different and players who remain addicted to that next game until the next next game comes out.

If they lose players early, they lose chances of selling the next game to those same players.

    If only that were true
But the real truth is most of the consumer populace are sheep and will continue to buy and play whatever games companies like EA, Ubisoft will produce no matter how bad it is
Take Assassin's Creed for example, it was once a damn good game series up until 3 came out (at least to me) that had a story that link across several different games over several years, now it's a yearly mess with no real connection to the original story

The PC community doesn't think its worth $40-60. If they did, we wouldn't be seeing such low player base.

I don't care about the numbers. I wanted to hear some actual personal opinions from those that did buy the game.

The numbers say a lot if you pay attention. The first two weeks of release, the PC version peak player count was around 24k. Just over 2 months later it's on the low end of 4k. PS4 version hit 120k+ during the first month and now it's peaking around 35k.

One site reported 80% of copies sold was for the consoles. That should tell you how the PC community feels about the game after playing both betas.

Nevermind, it would be apparent that Youtube will answer my questions.
I asked about gameplay, not numbers.

I think his point is this:
People who bought the game aren't playing it. Clearly they bought it because they thought they would like it. Clearly they must not have liked it if they stopped playing it. Therefore, the numbers show that most people who purchased the game believe that the gameplay sucks. In that way, the numbers are absolutely directly relevant to your question.

Your question: according to players who bought the game, is the gameplay good? The answer given by the majority: no. Why are you so opposed to the numbers? The numbers tell you out of a huge sample size, the majority didn't like the game. Would you rather ignore thousands of player's opinions and instead rely on the opinion of dozens who may answer you here?
