Hey all,

There are some really good sales going on with Memorial Day coming up and I'm looking to get my first SSD to run my OS and some games. I'm quite new to SSD's and only have done an hour or two of research into it. I could use some suggestions as to which brand to go with, as well as how much storage I should get (240GB vs 480GB.)

Here's my build:
EVGA Z97 Classified mobo
EVGA GTX 970 FTW
Intel i7-4790
EVGA 850 G2 psu
8GB 1600MHz RAM
1TB Western Digital Black HDD
Coolermaster HAF X tower

I would personally get the largest capacity that you can afford. The beauty of an SSD is the speed but if it lacks the storage for all your games and programs it defeats the purpose.

Yes indeed, the higher the capacity, the higher the speed along with it, since the higher capacity gives an SSD that "breathing room" to unleash its TRUE potential.  That's why I have 500GB - 1TB SSDs in my build.
