I understand it's possible that EVGA will return a video card to me faster than the one I have sent to them, but it would be great to know which one I might receive as a replacement for my GTX 980 Classified. Is it unreasonable to think that my card might be swapped for a slightly better GeForce GTX 980 4GB 256-Bit K|NGP|N? I would rather have the GeForce GTX TITAN X 12GB 384-Bit GDDR5...

Hello and welcome to the forums!

RMA replacements are for the exact same model. As the 980 Classified is a current model, there will be no trouble at all replacing it with the same part. Sometimes on older, discontinued models that we don't have stock of anymore, the RMA replacement may be an equivalent performing card. We don't have an option during the RMA process to upgrade your card to a specific model or offer credit to "trade up" to a different model either.

If you have more questions or concerns about your RMA, you can always contact us directly at 888-881-3842, or email support@evga.com with your RMA number and we can assist you further.
