Depending where you installed your radiator, have the rad and pump upside down. Should be able to fit that way.

my doubt is whether the by the R9 in PCI slot 4 or another will have access to x16? because I know that the first slot is for sure ... my board is the x99 ftw

I am not sure if it will but it won't hurt to try.

you need a 40 lane cpu that means a 5930 or above to have two 16x pcie slots

I wonder, this was Posted a week ago. Most likely it has been taken care of. OP really only needs one X16 PCIe Lane. Or X8 at GEN3 but I do not think that the 290 cares about the Gen Version.

I wonder if you can turn off PE1 and use PE2 for your Card? I-E Lane Distribution (28 Lane Processor) PE1 – x16 (x8 if PE2) PE2 – x8 PE3 – x8 (Not functional with a 28 lane processor.) PE4 – x8 PE5 – x4 (Gen 2 only, 4 lanes pulled from PCH) PE6 – x4

I have a nuctua NH-D14 SE2011 on a 5920K, I've tried them on evga X99FTW and on an asus X99 deluxe/3.1. On the X99FTW no matter how you position the cooler it will be super close or block the #1 pcie slot, if you have a smaller air cooler or you have it under water this should not be a problem

It has been my experience when we assume it will be ok, something will come up to prove us wrong, i have been building since the 286 days and I have learned thru very expensive mistakes. Some of these PC parts are very expensive and for most of us we want them to last for as long as possible, something's are out of our control and we can not do anything about them. But those thing's that we can we should do, thing's happen all the time and I will stay with my earlier statement

i think that they are right i would rethink the 5820 and get a 5930 to get 40 lanes and thin you can go any where you want with the r9 that you want to on your x99 card .

Possibly a Corsair CPU closed water loop cooler might work.
