Zo, Currently the Test Bench is folding it's little fans off, so I am going to let it run for a little bit before I reset it and add the waterblocks into that loop.  Once that is done, I will get it under water for sure.

Steve, Nothing, except for the water pump, is going to get power until I am 100% sure that all leaks are fixed.  Once the leaks are clear, than I will worry about starting the fold :-)

Double Digits!!!!!!!  1st milestone of the long weekend!  Oh, and one of the four 780Tis is no looking too good right now... super sad, because I JUST got the waterloop completed.  yes, i tested it before putting the water block on it, so I am trying to find the issue without an RMA.

For those that don't know, a quick way to test a GPU when it throws an error is to plug a monitor into it.. All other cards work, but the bottom one does not.. this mainly applies to the platforms that like to swap GPU numbers on us.

That is not good news,
Sounds like a power issue if it was checked before, are you sure the power plugs are seated properly??

Hope you get it worked out without ripping it all apart....

I pulled it out and put it on the test bench.. so many pretty colors of artifacting.. it is going back to EVGA for an RMA, so it is already out of the loop and everything.

Unlike most people at this stage, I really freaking hope they have another 780ti classy in the back. I would love to have all 4 upgraded to 980s, but selling the classy blocks and getting 980 blocks is not something I would want to go through.

RMA Approved..  I am pulling the black box into the laundry room (I usually wash clothes at work anyway :-D) and connecting a wifi key to it.  I will be removing everything but folding at home, and let her rip.  Hopefully we have a good point update for her tomorrow.

All 3 cards are getting to 45c under full load.  PPD hasn't steadied yet, so I will have to post that later.

Sitting at 500k PPD currently, with one work unit showing it would be 45 minutes beginning to end, and two showing it will take 6 hours.  the 6 hour units are worth higher PPD, for obvious reasons lol.

One thing that baffles me.. If I turn the test bench off, the TH10A gets 1.3-1.4m points over the day (PPD is just an estimate).  I turn the Test bench on, I get 1.1m.. What is going on, lol.  If I run 3 rigs and get lower PPD, I am going to start throwing a hissy fit.

That looks like a bad WU. 9430 failed.
But the next WU 9831 ran with no problems.

Woke up and found one of the hoses on the radiator disconnected on the Black Box (the one that isn't the correct size, no surprise) pushed it back on secured it in place.  Only lost a few drops of fluid, less than a full syringe.  Waiting for the proper tube to come in, and order more fittings for the Scarp Heap.

Also going to test out something else, and see how it does with the work units.  I am not going for PPD as much as total completed units at this point.

Now the phase change is starting to condensate :-(  Going to let it finish the last few units, and then let it rest for a bit.  I think i may make it the gaming rig and let the two big rigs run strictly folding now.

That . . . Wow, that's actually a major blast from the past for me. I haven't discussed condensation on a phase change cooler since the old PimpRig forums died . . . 7-8 years ago now.

Just flashing on the discussions of packing the processor pins with dielectric grease, making a closed cell foam enclosure to go over the phase change die . . . Yeah, those were the days.

Hope you get your cooling woes straightened out and are able to let that kitten ROAR at full volume soon!

The fun continues.. Made it to 100m, found the Scrap Heap locked up, condensation everywhere (it tried to boot, but I shut it down and removed all of the eraser, and applied Petrol jelly, waiting on the head to dry out before reapplying it.

just to top it off, the TH10A is leaking at the bottom card, ever so slightly, and the Black Box had a hose pop off.. Caught both before any damage was done, but this is getting frustrating.  Going to tear everything I can down tomorrow and rebuild them.

Thanks man.  I am going to take some time off to really work on these and make sure everything is correct.  I can't afford to have any of these to break.

Stripped all of the Kneaded eraser off the front of the Motherboard, removed CPU, redid and added a lot of petroleum jelly, reinstalled the cooler and... 00... nothing.. NO CPU detected... Wonh Wonh wonnnnhhhh...

Pull everything back off, pull the cpu, add more petroleum jelly, realize a little dielectric (silicon) grease got over the CPU..  cleaned that up, reseated CPU, and booted into safe mode (so work units wouldn't start, sadly.)  Have to figure out who to do about the top of the unit.  I will be back with more updates.

You guys are pumping out over a million a day and I'm just like "My GTX 980 is pretty good, I think."

I may need another one at some point.
