**Edit: as of the 2:00PM EDT, June 8th update from Stanford, EVGA is ahead of Default by 14,362,966 points!**

First off, we're within kissing distance of pushing below the 400kM difference between us and Default! I want to give a hearty HECK YES! (I want to say more, but family language guidelines and all) on that, and I love watching that number fall.

Secondly, I am putting out the word that there is a discrepancy in my points as far as EOC reports them and how they show in the EVGA Folding page stats, to the tune of 300k. It IS a discrepancy in my favor, but if you haven't figured out that I'm a stickler for good stats by now, pay better attention.  I've alerted Rob already, and my strong suggestion is that you wait until the official stats or EOC stats show that you've crossed over the tiers before requesting your bucks.  (I'm also a big fan of not gaming the system.) I'll be monitoring over the next few days and if the system doesn't fix itself on one of the updates, I'll work with Rob to get the correct values in place as soon as we can.

Lastly, I got a second 970 thanks to a number of things coming together (Yay overtime? Even tho it's for reasons that we had suggested on how to fix over 4 years ago? And only NOW are the new bosses understanding that we DO KNOW what the heck we're doing?) and JEEEEBUS! what a difference! With a 970, 770 and my CPU folding, I was pushing over 800 Watts at the wall. NOW? Full load, averaging 500k ppd? 600 Watts. Stone Cold. I LOVE THESE CARDS!

So, those are my points related updates!

Thanks for the update Drougnor! Sometimes I look at the team stats page and marvel at the production our team is doing. It doesn't matter how many kicks in the crotch we get, we just keep going. That is a source of pride for me actually. I know it's a new month, but 81,000,000 on the 5/4/15 update Holy Cow! lol Default or Death!
I too recently got a 970, I made sure to get one that has a waterblock available. Great card ,great temps, no problems. I really like it a lot!

Default is for everyone who does not join a team. Team 0 basically.
I was part of those on the default team.

Now helping the chase to No.1

The Basic Kill A Watt meters can be had from any decent hardware store. Or Lowes, Home Depot, Wallmart etc. I got one at my local Ace HW store for $25.

I'll second the APC UPS recommendation for multiple reasons - If you live in an area with frequent brownouts, that can be murder on your hardware and the UPS will function as a power conditioner, giving you an even voltage without dips or spikes - It'll allow you to actually SHUT DOWN the OS cleanly in the event of a power outage instead of an unclean crash possibly corrupting the installation - And, most modern UPS systems have on-board monitoring for input and output values to tell you how much electricity you're using and whether or not your voltage at the outlet is what it SHOULD be.

down to 350m (354,015,164 as of last update as of this post) gap now, I know points will drop off as more people reach the EVGA bucks point, but I think we should be able to get it soon, maybe about eh, a month or so away?

I learned my lesson the last prediction I made - The way that Default's production grows and shrinks is quite interesting. It looks like we have a number of Defaulters that join us for the points then go back instead of folding for a proper team.

Also, I have my suspicions that there may be a few big dollar folders who are purposefully folding for Default to be jerks to us. Purely suspicion with NO actual evidence . . . Let's just say, the number of times I've been slurred on other forums simply for folding here has made me a little jumpy. And no, it's not in the majority, it's usually a VERY vocal few that have gotten slapped down by the better and calmer majority.

Either way, I'm QUITE happy to see us under 350 Million points and shrinking it!

Yeah, I know, party-foul with the double post. *grins* Oh well.

Check out today's magic number, folks! As of 1pm EDT, we're only 285,317,300 away from overtaking Default!

Our progress is narrowing quickly, however, as the EVGA Bucks only folders are drifting away for the month, so we could end up ending the month back above 300 million, but this is a great place to be today!

Let's keep up the good work and keep Folding! DEFAULT OR DEATH!

The 7 pm EDT update on May 21st pushed us into 58 Billion. With luck, this month will see this be the LAST time another team or collective will pass a point goal before TeamEVGA. Think about THAT one, lads and ladies!

Depending on how heavy the hammer comes down in the first week of June, we may not pass Default until after they pass 60 Billion, making my earlier statement a bit over ambitious. We'll just have to wait and see, however.

I still think that you are good on your call for passing them before 60 Billion.
rough estimate they should be about 59 Billion when we catch them.

only 34 days to see if it comes true..

Based on the current EOC stats, this is what I have in my spreadsheet to keep track of the takeover date. I do believe it will happen sooner due to the beginning of month jump that will come next week.

Current estimates on my spreadsheet (I love that more than one of us are running spreadsheets to track this!) show the 60 B barrier at about 29 days (just a little under) and the takeover at just over 32 days, so depending on how much of a kick we get with the start of the month, we're looking to be able to beat them to 60B!

Also, this is the first time in a LONG time we've stayed over Default's production this late in the month. AND, we're doing it without a contest to pad the numbers! I'm loving it!!

When I started folding for this team the battle cry was 11 B by 11/11/11. Look how far we've come in 3 1/2 years. Pretty good!

drougnor I think some of new people have helped out with production of points and Scarlet-Teck kicking in full time as well.
Full time folding from so many great team members is getting the job done.
