This is kind of how I got into the "Enthusiast" level of PC's. Part of it was how bad ass a nice looking PC is after speaking with some folks here, and the "supersampling" option in the Witcher 2. I remember it was my first time with an SLI setup with 2 GTX 570's and although Supersampling enabled looked awesome (at the time), it completely destroyed my 570's. Which in turn made me demand MORE POWER and amazon/newegg/EVGA collected large amounts of my money.... MONEY WELL SPENT! 4 years later, here I sit with a very pricey rig and waiting for the next game to come along to make me want to spend more. Heres lookin at you EVGA marketplace . 
 
Besides the fact of throwing money away, I really really loved Witcher 2. And from what i've been seeing, it looks like Witcher 3 will be getting a lot of my attention.

Witcher is my fav fantasy game franchise.

Never played any of the past Witcher games, but looking forward to this one...

Was excited and at some point was about to preorder. Then I found out about the paid DLC's. Now I'll buy it when the full game is sub 20$.

What a joke, after the DLC's, they'll still suck $50+ out of me, even after the free promotion. That's funny, but sad.

i want the  game  but cant afford it. i just got a GTX 960 4gb card for the game  and well needed an upgrade but amazon would not  honor this  version of my card to get the witcher 3 included  tho every other online E-teller had it included  well the  code download anyways . so  i  am broke and cant afford  this game so i guess i will wait till it gets  in the cheap on sale bin  on steam sale someday .                                   oh if any of you wish to add me to steam it is the same user name

Just picked up Witcher  2 from Steam for $2.99.  Gonna give it a shot before 3 is released...downloading now...

never played the first 2 witcher games but I have this one preordered...Haven't played a fantasy RPG in a long time

You're referring to the two undeveloped expansion packs that add 50 hours to a 200 hour game?
I don't understand the gripes you have with these releases, but each to their own.
 
I'm completely psyched for the release, and a select few popular twitch streamers are dancing around something big and something awesome which is currently unannounced. They're clearly not saying anything about what they're hiding, but I can't help but be curious...

I don't understand the gripes you have with the gripes I have . Look at this way, W3 is behind their announced schedule from a few years ago. Sure in the production cycle things happen that slow you down, but I can only wonder how many of those supposed 50h of DLC were originally intended for the 200h game (we could go into a discussion about play hours but let's leave them at what you said). Plus it's the principle that's bothering me the most, up until the expansions were announced CDProjekt we're like no paid DLC. All of a sudden we're not going to get DLC, we're getting expansions. Big difference of terminology. So yes, you don't have to agree to me, I'll just vote with my wallet, even tho there are  thousands like you who don't have a problem paying.

Wow...just playing arena to get used to mechanics...for a direct x 9 game, the graphics are very nice!  Game is pretty fluid with movement, etc....

Totally this. I just tried re-playing Witcher 1 for 1.49 yesterday. I have to say, i was bored out of my mind. Not even 10 minutes in the game, and it was already boring. I guess that's what happens when we get used to a newer playing style as newer games get made?

 1 took a while to get into, where as 2 was in your face action. It's totally worth playing through the prologue of Witcher 1 though.

Looks like the best experience WILL be on PC. 

If you haven't played the other 2 how do you know about the "rampant graphic ..." ? The first one had some boob cards and the second a small scene.  If anyone is playing these games for the sexual content they're wasting time.
 
You should try them, IMHO, they are very good games.
