Pretty big update too.  Just shy of 28MB.  Not sure I want to install this.  I might wait a bit on installing and do some more research on it over the next few days.

I hid it on all my computers, MS is not telling us enough about what the are doing and why they now want to start tracking or "collects data about functional issues in Windows". What are "functional issues"?

I did the same here.  I can't find any info on "exactly" what it's purpose is.  So to me it sounds fishy...

Odd to that you can download only the Windows 8.1 version from Windows Download Center and you can only install it on Windows 7 through Windows Update Process.

Thanks for the headsup!  I must have been half asleep when I let it install (I always choose my update...never let windows update by itself).  Removed...and hidden...

Well at least this weeks update correct the IE 11 Issue that you could not add Google Search as your Search Engine.
So now you can Add Google as your Default Search in IE now.

I never saw this recently and it's not installed.  Maybe because I didn't install all their other tracking software.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with this update from a privacy standpoint if that's what you're worried about.

    As below:

The Diagnostics Tracking service collects diagnostics about functional issues on Windows systems that participate in theCustomer Experience Improvement Program (CEIP). CEIP reports do not contain contact information, such as your name, address, or telephone number. This means CEIP will not ask you to participate in surveys or to read junk email, and you will not be contacted in any other way.

For any released product with an option to participate in CEIP, you can decide to start or stop participating at any time. Most programs make CEIP options available on the Help menu, although for some products, you might have to check settings, options, or preferences menus. Some prerelease products that are under development might require participation in CEIP to help ensure the final release of the product improves frequently used features and solves common problems that exist in the prerelease software.

That update along with a few others are all tied to "upgrading" from Win7/8.1 to the free version of Win10.  I have no need for any of those updates.

Same here I also have no need for them, I do not want to be forced to update to Windows 10.

If I decide to go to Win10, I'll buy it so I can also retain my Win7 license & dual boot.  I'm not going to give up my Win7 License.
