So i've been running my rig for about a year now with no issues.  I was working on the overclock today to see if I could get it to run at a lower voltage.  AIDA64 had been running fine for an hour, but I came back 15 minutes later and the system had crashed.

From there I tried to reboot it, and it kept getting stuck on code 15 (cpu post-memory initialization), which from what I read meant I could have a bent CPU pin...highly unlikely in my opinion considering I was just messing around with the overclock.  after dozens of reboots and CMOS resets, the code would occasionally get stuck on 32 (cpu post-memory initialization) or 62 (cpu post-memory initialization) as well, but the it eventually boots.  Once the computer boots everything seems stable as always.  Now my issue is when I go to reboot, it keeps getting hung up on the weird cycle of codes 15,32, and 62 before it finally decides to boot.

I'm running the latest bios from ASUS and everything is at stock right now.  This one has me puzzled, so any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

This has been a pain to say the least.  I went over to the ROG forums, and they have been very helpful with troubleshooting ideas.

If it ends up being the motherboard went bad, I think i'm going to skip the RMA process and just order an EVGA Z97 FTW because I saw it's only 150 on amazon right now.

Did you remove your CPU and reinstall it? Or is it installed from before and you are just now playing around with overclocking.
What was the BSOD Code 116 or 121 or 124? If you do use to low of a vCore your computer will reset as you have seen.
On your Memory for Now set your Bios back to Auto. On your 16GB G. Skill Trident X 2400 what is the Full Model Number?

Look in the C:\Windows\LiveKernelReports\WATCHDOG for a .dmp file and to view the code you can download and use BlueScreenView.exe

I gave up with it, I checked everything.  I uninstalled the motherboard and have an EVGA Z97 FTW on the way to replace it.

It came down to paying to have it shipped out while waiting 4-6 weeks for them to troubleshoot it and wait for them to ship it back, or just spend 130 for a new board.  I'm impatient so I went with option B, I'll still end up sending the board for RMA so I can sell it when I get it back though.

I'm optimistic it won't.  CPU was good, socket looked fine, memory tested good.  I even got the same POST hang up with some memory from my old system that I know was fine.  I tried three different BIOS updates, and the error was consistent.

Looks they build best that Z97 series in last few years.
i7-4790K is good because work on very high clock, Base Clock and Turbo are 500MHz higher than i7-4770K.
For 4770K was almost impossible to finish all stability tests on 4.4-4.5GHz...now 4790K go up to 4.7GHz...
