So i Woke up this morning and my 780 TI was covered in what can only be my SilverStone CPU all in one coolers coolant. Spoke to a few friends who told me you guys may be able to give me advice on sorting this problem out. The coolant feels oil based so doesn't look like its going to dry and i dont want to damage the card further by trying to rub it off! Im waiting to hear back from Silverstone aswell but any help would be great.
I turned the machine on before i noticed the samll puddle of coolant on the back of the card, the pc would power up and gpu fans even spun normally only problem is it wont display to a monitor.

Unfortunately, the warranty doesn't cover water damage. Even though the substance feels oily, the cooler is likely using a mix of propylene glycol and water. The water could easily damage the card.

Just let it dry out for a day or two. If it still doesn't work you can try this flux remover circuit board cleaning spray.

If warranty is void due to water damage you have nothing to lose trying it. Remove your fan shroud and heat sink. Spray to clean the oily residue and then re-apply your TIM under the heat sync.

Always is risk watercooling, but with AIO Systems and new custom loops and new types of fittings risk is much less than before 7-10 years. And choice of components, place and way of installation could help lot.
I talk about some minimal leak not 1/2 l.
Example case as Carbide AIR540 prevent leak on PSU, less G 1/4 ports that's better.
Nothing sensitive on liquid under pump and reservoir and ports on them...
And than as risk only stay CPU block but if liquid drop on graphic card backplate that can prevent damage if quantity of water is not huge, full cover waterblock on single graphic have less risk from leak. And many people test first all waterblocks before installation on hardware several hours with max pressure. But some risk of 1-2% always is present.

I didn't expect it to be covered by warranty, But this isn't down to user error this is down to an ALL IN ONE water cooler for my CPU leaking on the top of the card. But Zuhl cheers man if i get no luck from silverstone ill grab some and try it. Vlada you've said a lot there but none of it actually helps in this situation. If i buy an AIO cooler how am i expected to check this loop apart from plugging it in and hoping the fact the system has run fine for a year I thought would be enough of a test. Thanks guys

Kermy, sorry about the bad luck. Please let us know if you use the flux remover and if it helps once you get everything together.

How long is the warranty of the Silverstone AIO that you have? Hopefully they assist you and get you back into working status.

Corsair used to cover any damge caused by their AIO coolers but that might have changed. IDK about Silverstone. If you clean the oily residue off of your video board you might be able to RMA it if there isn't any sign of water damage on it.
