I think B is correct. Don't forget that some programs will use gpu acceleration, which an overclocking program would see since it is using the gpu. That may be what you are seeing.

If it bothers you, simply remove it until you get the answer.

You should check out that Steam and Origin do when they run, Ouch!

I can understand what you are trying to say here but it really doesn't matter. if evga wants to post an official response, they will.

I appreciate the help you're trying to offer, but it isn't needed. In your last comment you seem upset and I'm sorry if I've offended you, that wasn't my intention. I just don't want to waste time offtopic.
 
And on that note... I think people on this forum try really hard to squeeze every bit of performance out of their systems, and I also think they honestly would like to know how something is affecting their machine. With all the hours, effort, time and of course money you spend on your machine, you want to know all that isn't being offset for the wrong reasons. People literally have a vested interest in this question. And with all the recent criticism PX is getting for its instability and issues, I for one would like to know how much of that could have been avoided if it weren't trying to do so many other things. But now I'm speculating.
 
So I would like to still see a response, but barring that, I think there's more work to be done here as well. I would need some help though. Is anyone else actually interested in this that would be willing to volunteer some time to help run this to the ground? You wouldn't need any special knowledge, but I would need a handful of people's help.

Are you saying that some of this behavior is due to a third party XML parsing library and not attributable to something PX is doing? And that this explains the "non IE related entries"? The point is that, although seemingly harmless, it's a strange behavior to see PX doing a full scan of desktop customizations for any purpose (profiles and localization included.) A more substantial response could easily put this topic to rest.
