• The disciplines differ in runtime and possible projects. For example, the Marathon runs during the whole Pentathlon, while the Sprint lasts only three days. Hence, at any time at least one discipline will run, but often different disciplines will run simultaneously.

its always been like that.
Yes, pending is retuned, but not yet verified.
That comes into play at the end of a discipline. It gets veriefied after the project ends (in the Pentathlon), no credit for the team here.

Just remember: Only tasks verified during the disciplines duration count for the Pentathlon

I know we are finishing up with PrimeGrid, but the Pentathlon is fast approaching.
 
Not to suggest anything, but projects can be downloaded and completed at any time...only those verified during the event count. (+1 thanks Mr. B)
It's helpful to take note of how long each project takes to validate so that you can shut down projects that will no longer get us credit during the event.
 
 

Clayton you can buy a cheap USB to network adapter to solve the problem (Ethernet over USB) here is the link to some models suported out of the box is based on raspberry pi but applies maily to any linux distribution http://elinux.org/RPi_USB_Ethernet_adapters.
 
Another solution is a pci express adapter but if i thing you got an Supermicro H8QME-2+ adapter the only cheap way is the solution provided before.
