I don't want to spam the forums with questions but I have some issues that I'd like to sort out before watercooling this beast.

I had an issue with my drives listed in my "safely remove" menu. To fix that I disabled "hotplug" in the BIOS for all of my drives (1 SSD, 5HDD's). Now I can't access my thumb drive. I can open it and it says it's empty but says it can't find it when I try to copy files to it. I even right clicked and chose "open as portable device". Disk management is also weird looking when it comes to the thumb drive (J:). My thumb drive is inserted and formatted to FAT32.

Hello HarryD. Did you ever manage to resolve this issue and if so what was the solution?

    Sorry for the late reply.
I never found out what the issue was. I enabled hot swap in the BIOS and I can now read/write to thumb drives. I haven't messed around with the build in sometime. I did remove and reseat everything including the CPU. I haven't started it up after reseating everything. I'll do that today.

I'll update the BIOS after I get everything connected. It's nice having Mondays off.

Going to try and see if I could read from the USB drive with hot swap disabled with BIOS 1.18.

For now, here is another issue I came across. With all settings set to default, "Fast Boot" is off when it should be on. This issue is with older versions of the BIOS as well.

UPDATE: I disabled hot swap for the SSD and all of the HDD's. They no longer show in the safely remove menu and now I can access my thumb drive.
Updating the BIOS to 1.18 seems to have fixed the issue.
I also updated Windows and Adobe flash before updating the BIOS but I don't think they had any effect on the problem.
I also reseated everything including the CPU, not sure if that helped or not.

Now to fix the fast boot off/on issue.

"hotplug" disabled is the mode I run and never had the issue you have stated above.
Good to hear you are now ok with your motherboard
