What about R9 390x at $600 or less and perform better than Titan X?  I'd hope that would happen... Titan X owners would enjoy it.

If EVGA counter-surprises allowing step-ups to the mythical 980TI, we're all good, regardless of what AMD does :D

What about R9 390x at $600 or less and perform better than Titan X?
Game and resolution dependent (i.e. there will be members here that disregard the point for HBM if they happen to not use it such that Tian-X gets a major lead at 1080p/1440p).  Still, even if it is 10% slower, as long as it is greater than 10% cheaper, AMD will steal potential non-loyal customers than would have purchased Titan-X.  It is that kind of threat that would justify the creation of a GTX980 Ti, and it would effectively steal-back those same customers provided it was faster than Titan-X while being cheaper.

For Intel processors, 0.122 x TDP = Continuous Amps at 12v [source].

    I smell FanBoyzasms......

I'd go AMD or Nvidia, just depends on what I'm doing... Better bang 4 buck vs performance and amps....

Any word on when they will ship reference cards for people to review?
Doesn't matter if you love or hate AMD, the industry is going to see a video card with stacked memory.

I could see it beating the 980 and occupying a similar price bracket. The production cost for this can only be considerable and AMD can't keep operating on such slim margins like with the next gen console APUs.

Computex 2015 is just around the corner (3-7 June). It will be interesting to see if there are any announcements made by AMD at the show.
