I guess I'm missing your point. Food with pesticides are considered to be cancerous. He's saying organic food is also cancerous. But he never said one is more cancerous than the other is all I'm saying. When I read your original post I was assuming you were thinking that the untreated foods were more harmful to humans than treated food.

Just be careful about the can of worms that you may be opening.  It may not end with you just losing your job.  They may hire private investigators etc. to look into your life in an effort to discredit you.  They may even have connections to law enforcement. Do you really need that kind of scrutiny?

I suggest that any complaint you make to the "authorities" you make anonymously.  You really don't need a big corporation trying to dig up dirt on you.

Most definitely will be anonymous because I still want to work here, Just don't like the way they handle certain things when it comes to maintenance, food handling, etc.

I dated a girl once that got allergic  reactions to canned fish or processed fish. Introduced her to fresh fish and she could eat it. Oh yes be very careful don't tell anyone you know or work with ! News travels fast and if you keep this to yourself, No one can Rat you out or trace it back to you. people have a tendency to talk to the wrong people unknowingly.

I try to stay away from eating anything caught in the oceans not just because of radioactive isotopes, but because of heavy metals, PCBs, and dioxin among other things.  Cesium-137 takes over 3 years on average to pass through your system after eating any pacific seafood.  PCBs and dioxin take over ten years to pass.
I pick whichever vegetables and fruits look good and hope for the best, not always organic.
Garlic and onion-like substances are neurotoxic.
I only eat meat that is organic.
I only eat organic basmati american grown white rice for both quality and extra low arsenic levels.

Reducing your intake of foods that have persistent organic pollutants is a good idea.  Considering a cancer or some other health condition forms when your tolerance is chipped away at depending on the concentration of all the different pollutants you retain in your body.

Ehhh... Even with cancer (if they really do cause cancer) the average life is still far longer than 80 years ago and a lot less of these chemicals... We're actually living long enough to get cancer.. I personally love GMOs and everything that's in my food to be there...

I'm not at all surprised that most of the U.S.A. consumers don't have a clue on what they eat, let alone what's in it. I've been doing 90% whole food past 20 years, and even back then you didn't  have as much crap added as we do now days.

@BF3PRO
Life expectancy isn't just due to the foods we eat, it's largely from technological and medical breakthroughs we've had. As a country, we could be doing a lot better than what we are currently at... We're rank 36 in the world:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_life_expectancy

For the male side, we're only 2 years off from China's average... which is pretty sad.

I was talking about the life expectancy worldwide not a particular area... Obviously it's more than just food...

I eat a lot of fresh fish, garlic, onions, vegetables, fruits, rice, oats, and chicken. I stay away from bread, pasta, fruit juice, pop, any added sugar, and life is great.

Great, I remember the first week of working in the company I work for, Which carries the fish that is normally sold in places like Costco, Ralphs, Albertsons, Food 4 Less, etc. etc.
We received a huge shipment of fish, The safe arrival temps are 35 degrees and under, if it comes at 35.1-39.9 degrees, They need to be re-iced and frozen to maintain quality, Anything above that means the fish is bad. The shipment in question arrived at over 50 degrees temp and smelled TERRIBLE. I asked what we do with that fish, They said they'd just freeze it to lower the temp, but at 50 degrees for god knows how long, I wouldn't be eating that fish =/

The whole shipment was like that, Luckily I haven't seen that happen again, But just goes to show what kind of practices they hold.

Does your work have safe food handling practices and documentation?

Yes sir, They're certified for nearly everything when it comes to food handling, Including HACCP, However, Do they follow the rules and regulations? No.

@Seta8967 you're absolutely right. The cross contamination is much greater than a meat and fish cross contamination, Especially for vegetarians that are likely to purchase such foods.

I've been on the job for a month and have been targeted by my managers over meaningless things, For this, I will get the company to straighten out by reporting to the corresponding agencies. I do not care if I end up losing my job, I will try my best to get this corrected by reporting straight to the companies HIRING my employer whom probably don't even realize the way the product is being stored.

And the drama continues......

I wish you luck Rush.  I sincerely mean that.

It's not that I want to create drama, I just don't appreciate the fact that someone could potentially DIE from this.

That is why I only buy my fish at the Quey Market. All the fish is fresh locally caught right out of the Pacific of the B.C. coastline.

The fishing boats dock about 300 feet away and then it gets transferred right onto ice in the market.

I can say this. The way the chemicals are made now and the though process behind the after effects of them is FAR greater then say even 10 years ago.

I'm glad it's been working for your daughter, I'm not searching for organic food, I work for a freighter company that serves as an import/export facility for all these type of stuff, Unfortunately the Organic is no longer organic once it's picked. It was mixed with regular fruits, Which is actually against FDA rules and regulations. The storage facility stores pallets of fish (Which leak bloody water quite a lot) above the fruits at times. It's very disgusting, Actually.

The only regulations that require producers to follow any type of guidelines are the National Organic Program, which is administered by the USDA, not the FDA. It's pretty lenient.
