Mine was made by Old Faithful Holsters. They purchased Alien Gear holsters last year I think.

Wish my state (Oklahoma) would hurry up and pass bill HB1936 that would reduce the cost of carry permits.
Old price $125 for 5yr  or $200 for 10yr
New price would be $25

It would do away with expensive OSBI background checks and replace it with instant NICS checks. They do NICS checks when you purchase guns, that should be enough to qualify for carry permit too.

We still have to pay $60-70 for concealed carry training class.

I would pay that in a heartbeat.  I just called the NRA and forwarded them my denial letter from my local PD.

I would love to only have to pay $25 instead of $200 for a 10yr permit.  I still got a couple more years left before renewal, so I hope it passes in the mean time.

As for the open carry, I personally don't see myself open carry unless needing to in certain environments like when I'm out hunting or out hiking.  99% of all other times, conceal works for me when I don't need direct quick access to a firearm but there if need be in a pocket.  And even when carrying concealed, that is on seldom occasions.  It's not like I carry 24/7 365, more like maybe 14 days of the year.  I'm still for open carry, even if I might only carry less than 1% of the time.

The license costs $125 in Texas unless your a veteran, in which case it's 50% off.

I am seriously thinking about getting a shoulder harness.  I hate having to adjust my pants every time I get out of the car or get up from sitting down.

Geez, hard to believe that even states like Texas have ridiculous gun laws. Glad I've only ever lived in 2 of the least restrictive states in the US (VT and NH). I only paid $20 for my 5 year carry permit, and it's "shall issue" versus the more common "may issue". The police are required to issue a permit within 2 weeks by law, or else face a civil suit.

In VT you don't even need a permit. Open carry, concealed carry are both 100% legal without requiring a permit.

I'm in NYC. A freaking toy sling shot will probably get you arrested here. The only people with guns here are cops and criminals ...law-abiding citizens are targets. Self defense in NYC consists of yelling "GFY" and then running away as fast as you can.

Agreed, any and all firearm laws are illegal and unconstitutional.
Also agreed, Texas is definitely more restrictive than a lot of places, but I'm in Cali, so Texas is a HUGE step forward from what I am used to.

I honestly have not looked at all of the states laws, but there are some definitely better than Texas, the rest of the nation needs to take a page from PA's book on how to do this.

"Any and all firearm laws are illegal and unconstitutional."

I'm sorry, but as a former lifetime NRA member, I can't let that pass. That statement is false on it's face. There has never been an unlimited right to bear arms. Never. Just the fact we limit felons from possessing them, makes your statement false.  We probably don't want people packing in bars that serve alcohol.   If you'd like to know why both my father and I are former lifetime members, it because the NRA has gone from being an educational organization to a lobbying organization for gun manufactures.  We've got more guns than people in the US. A smaller percentage owning more guns.  Having 6 handguns doesn't make you any safer than having two.

You sound like a massive FUDD.

The constitution couldn't be clearer in restricting the government from restricting arms from citizens. Just because they've done it and continue to put more and more restrictions on it doesn't make it legal or constitutional what so ever. NRA is full of jerks that welcome unconstitutional restrictions for a whole host of reasons and they are wrong as well. NRA membership means nothing, in fact, these days when somebody claims to be an NRA member I just look at them with suspicion due to how well know the NRA is regarding compromising constitutional rights for decades.

You claim we never had unlimited right to bear arms. When the constitution was written, we didn't have any restrictions on which firearms we could buy. In 1921 we could buy/rent Thompson sub-machine guns at local hardware stores.
If you think about it, we shouldn't be limiting felons rights to bear arms, after they paid their debt to society. The NRA is a puppet for the gun manufactures. The NRA members have no say on what the NRA does. If a person owns 6 or 50 firearms, guess what, they can't use all of them at the same time.

My state is about become the 14th state to allow constitutional carry. I believe it will be fully unrestricted (allowed to open or conceal carry a handgun). No more having to pay a fee to exercise a right.

Don't forget the founders wanted private citizens to own "weapons of war" which is the new meme to deny citizens the most basic of small arms. Back then private citizens owned ships of war, artillery, and all sorts of weapons of war and the founders were completely for it, because not only did they use these weapons to literally fight tyranny, but you need more than simply small arms to effectively fight back against tyranny. Constitutional carry should be the norm, but having a CPL/CCW to bypass the garbage error prone NICS system is also real nice. Lately on the gun boards people have been denied during NICS for no reason and the appeal process of course is absurd and setup to prevent an easy and effective way get back your rights due to bureaucratic error. You basically have to hire a lawyer now and still hope for the best because there is no consequence for violating that civil right any longer.

Vote Bob Lindsey for Sheriff!

Pro-2A and Pro-Shall Issue CCW :)!!!

June 5th, Save the date!

Got to love how LA "May Issue" works, only way you can ever get a CCW,  is if your well connected or donate to the right politician.

Well, Seeing as the one denying the CCW's is the Sheriff or the police chief, If Bob Lindsey gets voted in, We'll all be carrying :)!
