The next GPU looks to be interesting for deep learning apps, but I wonder how it will be for games.
 
Anyone seen any speculation regarding this? I'm trying to decide if I should wait til Pascal comes out
or if I should get another 970 and SLi.

    Unfortunately surely, just like 20nm processing on maxwell cards, there is no point speculating this far out. Should wait until they actually start focusing on it exclusively and the actual "rumors" from the legit sites start to come out in full force.

    There will always be something better coming down the pipeline.  My advice is to get the second 970 now and enjoy it now, rather than wait for the next best thing.  I had two 780Ti's and I waited until the Titan X showed up and now I have two of them.  I could have gotten a 980 but my Ti's did the job for me until the Titan came out.  You could do the same thing.  Get a second 970 and enjoy it until something that really strikes your fancy comes out or the 970's are no longer getting your needs done.
