Best if you can afford i5-4690K.
You can compare here, some of them ...4th Generation are launched in Q2 2013, some of them in Q2 2014.
Last models Devils Canon are little better.
Example i5-4690K work on 3.9GHz Turbo, that's pretty nice speed but processor is capable to overclock about 400-500MHz with good cooling, but it's little expensive. If you decide to go on K version better choose i5-4690K Devils Canon than i5-4670K Haswell. It's not big difference but price is same and better choose processor launched in Q2 2014.
Cheaper option is i5-4460 he can work up to 3.4GHz but it's not possible to OC with multi.
http://ark.intel.com/prod...i5-Processors#@Desktop They are all very similar, same number of cores, same L3 Cache, price difference is most because K models capability to OC with multi or
higher base and Turbo clock. i5-4690K most games will not recognize difference between him and some very expensive i7, on Z97 chipset he will work in full shine.
