I reinstalled the F @ H Client because it wouldn't recognize my second 980. I had to add a GPU to get both 980 recognized but the Primary board just finished a 2 hour 30 minute WU in a few minutes. It ran last night for 2 1/2 hours but I only got credited for 2 WU instead of 3. One WU from my CPU and one from my secondary 980. Could someone please show me what to do and how to set it up correctly. I am currently Folding and will probably not be back for 3 hrs. Thanks for your help.

Have you done a clean install of the drivers?

Yes, I have. Once when the second 980 arrived on Thursday and again after I flashed the BIOS on both boards. I did a 'Clean Install' using only the graphics driver and PhysX.

Your stats link shows you are not getting bonus points. Are you using the latest Fah V7 client? Do you have a  passkey and have it entered in your identity tab.  It's important to leave at least 1 cpu thread open for each card. (or don't cpu fold at all.) Do you have the beta flag set for the gpu's?
Are both cards working now? PrecisionX will tell you. SLI is not important for Fah but I don't think it hurts either. (someone else chime in)
Those 2 cards should get you 800k ppd if set up right.

I am using client 7.4.4 if that means anything. I have a passkey and it is entered along with my 111065 team EVGA I.D. I don't know how to set it up. I need detailed instructions from someone. I had to change 980 #1 from -1 to 1 to get it recognized. I only fold for a few hours each day long enough to get a WU from each video board and my CPU. I should be getting 3 WU each day but only getting 2. The highest ppd I've seen is 590 in the client. I certainly need some assistance here. I will uninstall the client again when I am done with these WU and wait for help to set it up properly. I had no problem with my dual 680 setup. Both boards were automatically recognized.
    P.S. What are 'bonus' points?

I have 1 system with dual cards. 1 Fermi and 1 Kepler. I don't think Maxwell set up is any different.
Have you tried going into Advanced Control yet?
So, start the folding client and immediately right click the icon in the sys tray and choose Advanced Control and close the browser. Then go to Configure, and the slots tab, and remove all the clients listed, one by one and click save. Start with a blank slate.

Then click add and choose the gpu button and add again. A little edit box should pop up and type "client-type" and "beta" to the appropriate places.

Click ok and ok again and then click save. You should be taken back to the main window. There should be 1 card listed. Repeat for the second card. Don't add the cpu yet. Should look like this.

Right click on either card to start, stop, finish etc.
If you've done this already and it's still not working then maybe Maxwell dual card set up is different. You can add the cpu later at any time, or not at all but if you do, set it to cpu6 at max or cpu4 to give the cards even more headroom.
I hope this helps and I'll keep an eye on the thread and your stats.

Oh and bonus points are "QRB" quick return bonus for finishing a wu ahead of, time out and expiration dates. Here's a single wu done on a 660ti with bonus. Your cards can do a lot better.

So far so good. I haven't added my CPU yet. I just edited my second GPU for 'client-type beta'. I forgot. Oops. One board is only ouputting half as much but my ppd is almost 700,000. Time will tell. Thanks for your help. +1 my rig if you're not busy. (My daily troll for votes)

I should reach 40 WU before midnight. My newest 980 seems a bit lame. It meets advertised boost speeds but doesn't boost as high as my first 980 causing TDR errors in games. Benchmarks are fine. I have to disable SLI or knock my Primary board's clocks back 40 MHz which isn't right. I've noticed that when Folding I am only getting half as much work from it no matter which slot it's in too. IDK how much I will have to fight with MSI for a new board or if my words will fall on deaf ears. I am currently chewing Svet's ear off at MSI's forum. Tomorrow I will invest in a phone call to MSI support and see what they'll do for me. I would have stayed loyal to EVGA if there wasn't such a huge price difference.

I'm glad your making progress, nice helping hand yodap! Try folding with SLI disabled, I have noticed by looking at the performance graph in Precision, that one GPU will run ragged. This is observing the GPU usage I believe, SLI disabled it doesn't do that.

I have to keep SLI disabled or my games crash. Thanks for the +1. My monitor needs a conversion kit to be G-Sync capable but it is possible.

I should have reached 52 WU by the time you read this. Thanks for the help. http://fah-web.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/main.py?qtype=userpage&username=Zuhl3156
12 WU in what? 2 days or 2 days? These 980 boards are killers compared to them 680s I had. One 680 and my G3258 give me around 2,100 ppd. Not exactly a powerhouse for Folding, is it?

That and it also makes a difference what WU you are folding, but they all need to be done. I'm glad you are back in business!

You got me back up and running. You should get a Gold Ribbon or two Blue Ribbons!

Why at night? When are electric rates at their lowest? I had one video board do a TDR on me and I lost the whole WU.
