Tripp Lite DisplayPort to VGA Cable P581-006-VGA. Trying to add a third monitor. I've attached three different working monitors and none have been detected.

    Could be the adapter, unless you have tried this same connection on a different device such as a receiver or another video card with Display Port and it works.
