I bought a evga 970 today but it didn't come with a code. I think they ran out. Is it possible to get one here? If i cant get it ill probably just return and purchase from newegg. But I want to confirm with someone here first. Thanks

Did you ask one of the salesman for it ? They usually have a form you fill out with your info then they email you the code .

Here in Dallas, Fry's didn't partake in the promotion. Plus they charged more for the card. Got it at Microcenter for $20 less and the code was on my receipt.

Well they had advertisements all over the place with witcher 3 posters and stuff. I did go to the cash register and they told me they ran out. They also said I could just register my receipt and card and ill get a free copy from there. So thats why I was asking. Hmm Ill check other frys stores to see if they have any instock. Its no deal breaker but still kinda disappointed. Thanks anyways.

I didn't buy it on their website. In their stores there's witcher 3 promotion everywhere. Saying gtx 970 = free game

Yes I went to my local frys in houston texas and they had the witcher 3 right under the GTX 970 and 980's
Looked at my receipt and thought there would be a code. No code. I didnt even remember to look for it until I got home. So is it possible to get one here since this is an EVGA card that I bought?

No. This is an Nvidia promotion. It only comes from the place of purchase, no matter the brand of card you purchase. If it were an EVGA promotion, then you could.

Well I doubt that even if it would have been EVGA promotion. I recently contacted them about the backplate promotion; and they told me to return my card and buy it again from the participating retailer.

Well I doubt that even if it would have been EVGA promotion. I recently contacted them about the backplate promotion; and they told me to return my card and buy it again from the participating retailer.
When EVGA offers a game, you register your card and get the game from EVGA. This will be stated in the terms... Read the terms for the backplate, and it clearly states to purchase it from a participating etail/retail store. So, yes, they told you to follow the terms. Just like NVidia terms say to get their fame from the retailer you purchase from. It's all in the terms, and if you read them, the answers are very, very, clear... So much, that many questions that get asked can be avoided by simply reading the terms. If the terms for this fame said purchase the card during the set dates, register your card, and then claim the code from EVGA..... Then you would do that.

I still havent received mine. They took my email information when I went back into the store and explained the situation. This was last monday I went in.

fry's is not participating in this promotion. They only had the nVIDIA free games promotion thing up to Borderlands The Presequel or AC Black Flag.

If a company misadvertises the product, sure they should be reliable. The won't be giving you batman since the promotion since you received your code last Friday, which means you purchased in April, not May.

Fry's is indeed participating. They are just horrible at it. I purchased an EVGA GTX970 SSC on May 6th, 2015. I called the 7th and provided my email address for the offer. The guy somehow got the wrong email address on file, even after repeating it back to me. I called this past Monday, the 18th and spoke with someone else who confirmed they had an incorrect emailed address. He said the codes would go out with the next batch on the 19th. That didn't happen. I called back on that evening. Again, same thing: codes will go out tomorrow. I didn't receive my codes on the 20th, but the nice lady said she'd give my info to the supervisors and they would personally call and give the codes over the phone in ten minutes. I waited two hours. So I called again and spoke with someone else. They profusely apologized and said to expect the codes by tomorrow. I received an email from a Fry's employee address around 7pm tonight with the Witcher code. I'm not sure about Batman, but I've responded with the inquiry. Maybe it will go out once it's released? I'll be calling again tomorrow to check the status of this.
So, if you've purchased a card at Fry's you should definitely call. It might take a few times, but it works. They have some other promotion going on right now and their emails are not getting processed as intended. According to the supervisors, they waited too long to signup with Nvidia. They are now having to individually request codes and it's taking some time. Just keep trying.

yea frys is participating. I finally got both codes for Batman and Witcher. If you go in store there are cards that say they are participating. I have redeemed both codes just had to jump through hoops to get it done. Bottom line is they are doing it
