    I would think so.  My XP941 is working fine as an OS drive on my X99 Classified on Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit.

    Given that the XP941 works, and so long as you have the latest bios, then you are good to go to boot the SM951.  If it doesn't work, then hassle EVGA support to get support included.

    From what I can tell, no.

    I have the 512gb version of this m.2 SSD and an X99 Classified and it doesn't seem like I can boot. Didn't mess with it much however.

    AOC G2460PG 1080P 144hz 1ms GSYNC
    Corsair Air 540

    EVGA X99 Classified (BIOS 1.16)
    i7 5930k @ 4.0ghz (1.2v)

    I have a reo x3 PCIe card and had to keep a setting on legacy in order for it to be offered as a boot option.
