    That has to be an April Fools news story ...!!   
     
    8K  when there is almost nothing even being broadcast yet using 4K

    The part where they said Apple will release a 8k iMac this year is probably an April fools joke.  But TV manufacturers have been developing 8k FUHD TVs for a while now and have already shown them off.  But of course it is still a while before they will actually be sold.  Hopefully this means 4k UHD prices will come down.  But I would rather see better improvements to picture quality over even higher resolution.  I want to see OLED TVs more.

    I'd rather have 50inch IPS at 1080p/120Hz for a TV, IPS 1440p/120Hz triple monitor vs 4/8K TN/25-60Hz.....
