Ok, I figured out my last question, I wasn't putting enough voltage on the GPU which is why it was underclocking to stop going over the voltage limit it was set at.

I'm now using EVGA precision X (works better for some reason), and uped the voltage + 6mv.  How far can I push this?  I've heard I can go all the way to 32 just fine.

Generally speaking, the voltage operates in steps of ~13mv. The voltage slider increases the voltage applied to the GPU not the voltage limit, which is set in the BIOS. So 6mv in Precision probably isn't doing a thing. As long you're using the stock BIOS and Precision or MSI Afterburner you're limited to a 'safe' voltage.

ok thx.  Yeah your right the extra core voltage absolutely does NOTHING.  I went to max overvoltage and according to GPU-Z I got the exact same voltage as stock.

I have one more question.  I have my gtx 750 ti's vram at 300mhz+ overclock with stock voltage, is it safe to keep it there?  I'm a bit scared since I can't monitor the vram temps.  Max GPU temp I get is 63 C.

yeah, its ok i think. i'm +1900Mhz(5400Mhz+1900Mhz=6900Mhz)memory overclock in bios @ 1.2v. been running the card the way for a almost a month and its not dead yet.

I was stuck with the same question in my head when I was testing some OCs with my GTX960. It's interesting because if I increase 6mv and then rerun the benchmarks it seems to be stable whereas without the 6mv it wasn't. However, just like you pointed out, after increasing 6mv on Precision X, the max voltage shown is still the stock voltage, both on Precision X and on GPU-Z. And if I increase 12mv the max voltage goes up 19mv on the max voltage shown on GPU-Z. Does anyone have a full article or something talking specific about this voltage behaviour ?

Bare in mind that this is all with stock bios and only using either Afterburner or Precision X.
