I bet Brad...I could just imagine gaming on your setup with eyes in shock and drool in full mode.
Man, I need to get my cockpit built. Going to try a homemade version since I'm a poor boy. It releases in March ,right?

What version will you get for pre-ordering off of Steam? Is it the LE version minus the collectors tin? Is says " digital pre purchase"?? And the tools and member level will they never be open to upgrade?

"The digital edition of Project CARS also includes the Limited Edition upgrade DLC pack, unlocking 5 legendary cars drivable in any game mode and showcased with special one-make series within your career!

• Ford GT40 Mk IV
• BMW M1 Pro Car
• McLaren F1
• Sauber C9
• Mercedes-Benz AMG C-Coupe DTM"
http://store.steampowered.com/app/234630/

I pre-ordered from AUS to get the tin, book, and disc. I don't think it is going to be available in the US.

The tools and member level were all part of the development investment and participation, therefore this is not an option as the project is nearly complete. I believe the on going DLC will all be handled by SMS. I am not aware of future community based projects at this time, and I'm not sure what will happen with the currant community after release.

Looks like I won't be getting my console edition but I did go ahead and opt not to take the payoff and got my retail Steam version updated today. For some reason the Career is still locked though. Played the solo mode and started in cart using my xbox one controller as there is no room at my desk for my wheel. I have to say it is a lot of fun!

Edit: career is now unlocked for me.

Not sure what you are talking about. Tool packs haven't been available for a long time, like over a year and I have no idea about a giveaway, can't find anything about that.
Edit: unless your talking about this giveaway.

Sorry, membership is no longer available. The project is unique from any other early access or kick start type of development. Aside from being able to contribute and be involved, members were able to invest monetarily into the project at various levels. The overall investment goals for members have been met. Members will be receiving a type of dividend divided among the members after release. I do recommend the experience though, if another project is made available. After playing the builds and seeing the development and how member involvement really was listened to, I personally believe the game to be excellent and worth the wait, just a little while longer :)

After three years in the making from a small company and a large community (compared to gaming development giants), Project CARS has now officially entered RTM (Release To Manufacture, or "Gold") status. Steam has a release date of May 7th and May 12th for the US on other platforms.

Those pics are really nice! must be 4K. I just loaded build 988. Anyone remotely interested in driving games will like it. I scratch my head if people wouldn't, but I'm sure the'll be some out there :/

Here's a great inspirational story about Nicolas Hamilton overcoming his disabilities to drive professionally, his passion for driving games, and contribution to Project Cars.

I'll post this vid too just because it was so captivating to watch him drive Nords

That is a great story man, he could be his brothers twin almost. There is a line in the story that I don't get.

"While competing with the rest of the drivers in the championship, Hamilton is not eligible to score points as he does not hold the necessary licence to do so."

How do you compete without the proper licensing?

I may be wrong, but I believe Nic may not be participating in the inter championship. So I think it's something like this. TOCA being the organizer and TBL being the licence.

"TOCA may allow up to two extra cars on top of the 32 TBLs to participate at selected events. These will be as ad-hoc, celebrity or R&D entries and will not gain championship points or count towards eligibility for a TBL."

"Substitute drivers must have completed at least 300km of testing in an NGTC car unless they are acknowledged by TOCA as having extensive experience driving a touring car or are a driver of high repute."
