Nah, it's gotta be a real thing. TweakTown had it 16 hours ago, right?

But seriously, I'm inclined to believe this one if only because ASUS did release their first video card 20 years ago.

Lot of effort put into it.

1996 to 2015 is only 19 years, lol.

I know they have been I closing memory defrosters, but I am curious what people will do knowing that removing the stock cooler may void their warranty to even test it out, since the memory defroster is worthless on air temperatures. I know someone mentioned using ln2 on any card voids the warranty, but I am curious about it either way.

They announced the defroster last year, for ln2 and such.

It's ugly as sister, but finally ASUS give one option to people who want competitive clock and they can remove that shroud if they want. After 20 years ASUS have graphic card with highest clock on market. That's nice. I will see what will happen with GM200 6GB but I think customers will need  to wait next Anniversary, 40 or 50 years of ASUS.
I only hope ASUS will really binned these cards not to send unstable chips to customers.
But to be honest card is not expensive, EVGA sell for 200$ more and again people get unstable cards sometimes.
I will pay attention what customers say. If same card with reference clock show up that's sign of mistakes in testing process.
