I am really looking forward to seeing the finished rig. You are truly building something special.

Thanks a lot

In the pictures of the res and front panel, the front panel looks lighter, but looking at pics from the beginning of the post the front panel looks deeper green, so IDK if looking at picture on a monitor is a fair assessment. Looking really good though.

Thanks mate. The pics from the beginning with the case are a better representation of the colour of the front and top panels. I will try to capture the colour better in future photos

Hey guys,

A huge thanks to Icemodz.com for sending me these cables. They are awesome and will fit the build well.

Check them out:

And an awesome shirt too :D

Hey guys,

Here is an update with the current state of the build. I managed to get all the cables in and did lots of cable management. Only cables missing are the GPU cables and the cable for the pump that will go in with the shroud.

Everything in the bottom will be covered by the shroud but that is pretty much where I have mounted the Aquaero and have all 7 fans connected to it. Also in the bottom I have a small PCB with six 3pin fan headers where I have connected the 4 LED strips that I'm using.

Please ignore the red SSD an HDD in the back as I will be getting new SSDs before the build is finished.

The clear acrylic is done for both side panels too. The SSD window was stuck using some double sided 3M tape and the main side panel windows was stuck with epoxy adhesive so it is on really tight and flush.

Also the custom reservoir is mounted too of course and it looks awesome in the case.

LED strip in the front here

One just above the custom res

There is an LED strip hiding in the back there as well, you can just slightly see it. I also have one just behind the 360 rad in the top, just above the CPU and RAM area.

And here is the back

Not long to go now!

Thanks for checking it out guys and stay tuned for more.

Cheers,

Alex

Hey guys,

This is my solution for covering the hole left by the original front panel connectors.

I had to paint the vinyl to match the green colour :)

Let me know what you guys think? I think it looks pretty good :D

Also you can see a quick tease of the UV lights inside the case :D

Getting there slowly...

Cheers,

Alex

Hey guys,

I decided to delid my 3770K that's going into this build. I want to be able to not run any fan at all while the PC at idle and even though this won't make any difference at idle it will surely give me that extra performance and better temps when overclocking. Plus I really wanted to try it out.

I followed the method used by DeeGee Tech and Hardware in this video. It's a really good video and explanation of the delidding process and shows one of the simplest ways to do it.

Was really easy to do, a bit scary but now that I've done it I will surely do it again to future chips :D.

Cool Laboratories Liquid Ultra :D

A very tiny drop spreads so much

I guess we will have to see how good the temps are once the loop is done. Unfortunately I won't be able to give a before and after, only the temps I was getting before the rebuild tho that did not have the Monsta rad in.

Thanks for checking it out.

Cheers,

Alex

Hey guys,

I finally managed to get the missing pieces in order to complete the build.

THE 970s ARE HERE :D

Time to slap some water blocks on then and get the loop started! I can't wait to get rid of that stock Intel cooler hahaha.

Here are some more shots of the build with the UV lights on. The exposure may not have been that good here as the UV effect on the fans is definitely not that bright. I will take proper pics once done.

Thanks for checking it out!

GPU and CPU blocks are on!

Here's a quick look at the cards and the EK FC670 waterblocks. Had no issues fitting them on the 970s!

Naked cards !!!

Glad to be getting rid of the stock Intel cooler!

Alex

Hey guys,

Here is the build in one of the final stages, ready for tubing up!

You can see I already have one of the tubes in and also from the pump to the GPUs I chose to go with some angle connectors and a connection that is usually used between SLI cards as it extends itself to achieve the length needed.

Let me know what you guys think of the build so far. I think it is shaping up really nicely!

Hey guys,

Check out the sexy Nvidia GeForce SLI bridge that is going in the build! It is a very special and nice looking piece of hardware, even if it's just an SLI bridge haha

Some shots with the side panel on. I still need to fix the edge on the left side where I messed the cut and had to make the window bigger then it was meant to be in order to save the panel.

Thanks for checking it out!

Cheers,

Hey guys,

Here it is all tube up and ready to go :D

It didn't take much tubing to get it done as you can see. I like to stick to just 90 degree bends and keep things clean, it's also pretty easy to do :). It should look sweet once filled!

This was the hardest bit to get in as I could barely get my hands in there!

Thanks for checking it out!

Cheers,

Alex

Wow, interesting. I was wondering what color tubing you were going to choose and am wondering water color (if any). Funny because when I was scrolling down looking at the pics, I thought the choice of color for the light purple molecules was really artistic. It was subtle and a different color from everything else, making my eye focus on the main components. An excellent color choice, I don't think I would have thought of it myself, but after seeing it, it impressed me. The clear tubing makes me think you are after the same goal rather than showing off your bending skills make it look more transparent and less cluttered. Green Molecule is very impressive overall!

I am curious though, other than the meltdown, what inspired you for the molecule theme?

Thanks a lot mate! Yea I think the UV light suits this build well. I chose clear tubing as I always do and then just use colored fluid which is Mayhems UV Emerald Green in this case. Under UV light it will nicely match with the green on the fans and sleeved cables.

I was going to redo this build and mod it anyway, the pump breaking down just made it happen a bit sooner. I always had the idea of using UV lights in it and just wanted something different. I've seen a lot of hex shapes in PC and just sorta developed that further with the molecules :D. I wanted something that looks like a crazy mad scientist project. I think the molecules and colour choices reflect that :)

Hey guys,

Here are the pics of the completed loop, in light and dark as well as with the UV LEDs!

Quite a lot of pics incoming !!!

Sorry I took so long to get these up, been caught up with other things and I'm about to start two new builds too!

Still a few things left to do on this build though:

- Fix the side panel on the left side where you can see the case frame through the window, will add some vinyl to cover it
- Mod the Nvidia SLI Bridge, I have white Plasti Dip in now
- Get new SSDs, mod them to fit the theme and mount them in the back

I will do the final photo shoot of the build once all that is done. But don't wanna keep everyone waiting so here is the build as it is now.

Wow, can't believe I haven't commented on this mod. Amazing work, love the colors. But I am a little partial to green, lol. Plastidipping the SLI bridge was a small detail, but it really made a big difference in my eye. Keep up the great work.

Did you by chance also post this on The Mod Zoo?
