Which of the EVGA 980's are reference design? I am interested in adding liquid cooling, but the method I plan on using requires reference cards. I'm guessing the ACX are not reference.

04G-P4-1980-KR, 04G-P4-1982-KR, 04G-P4-2980-KR, 04G-P4-2982-KR & 04G-P4-1989-KR are all reference cards.
Thank you very much for the response!.. If you don't mind me asking; what is the difference between the 1980 and the 2980? Newer base model? Random numbers of no relevance? Just a different plate?

The shroud & backplate is the only difference I believe.

Just what I was thinking, especially because it's somehow cheaper than the regular model, and you know it will be stable at those clocks.. Now debating on if I should spend the extra $10 and wait for the 980 Hybrid to come back on sale, or go with my original plan of getting the NZXT G10.. I've heard some poor reviews about the G10, when it comes to VRAM cooling, and getting the Hybrid won't void warranty..

If you don't want water block, if you think on AIO system than I would go on 980 hybrid.
Look much nicer and cooler is probably good. EVGA don't want to launch such solution before check temps.
GTX980 Hybrid is even better than someone to give you finished 980 with G10.
Because Hybrid have same clock as EVGA 980 Classified 1291MHz.
That's 1420-1430MHz Boost in games.
You don't need to think that something can go wrong with installation, look nicer and most important clock is very very high.
GTX980 with G10 don't look good at all. That's for someone who don't care for look.
980 Hybrid is nice and elegant solution. Same as CORSAIR Hydro for CPU only for graphic cards.

This is what I want to do. Aside from looking better, the VRAM has much better cooling, and I won't void my warranty as I would using the NZXT G10.. But it is out of stock everywhere. Any idea when more of the 980 Hybrid's will be available for sale?

She could launch card with 130-150MHz OC.
