This popped up on Newegg recently and I looked it up. Looks like a classified 780ti with acx cooler and stock clocks, refurbished.

I was thinking of going with this one over a 970, and wanted to know if you could flash the bios to the standard classified overclock. Seems like a really good deal for the price. Comes with 1 year EVGA warranty. Would lose the .5gb of gddr5 on the 970 but gain a significant performance boost with a bios flash + the quality of the classified.

Any thoughts?

Sorry mates, I was really hoping for an answer before this card went out of stock. Bumping is pointless since this forum is relatively dead so I did find out that this is a classified with a chip that didn't pass. EVGA Customer Service recommended I go with a 970 because it had a tad more ram, better warranty, and the new tech. Plus this is a failed chip as they say. You get what you pay for. It is 20 dollars more than the superclocked and indeed it is 50 dollars more than a G1 gaming is right now. I decided to pass, even though I would basically get 980 card speed for 370 dollars since you an flash the bios fine to classified stock.

The rig in my sig is my old rig. I've built a new one and have no card. It is using the devils canyon 4790k and is very much the superior to my current rig. I just need to find the right card for it. I'm not entirely sold on the 970 though. I think I will continue to use my current rig until the new AMD comes out and buy a 970 at discount or upgrade to the 980 TI/990 which will need to drop soon after to stay competitive.

    Like B-Stock, Maybe?
B-Stock Products do not come with any accessories and include a 1 year limited warranty.
