I've sent you an email.

Thanks to you Nateman.  Got the loop running now and sitting at 20 degrees c at no load.  Haven't put the full load on it yet.  Loving it so far.

Let me know what the CPU does.  those are the first production CPU blocks I ever made... so I would be curious to say the least.

Re: Z97 Stinger waterblock. Yes, it will happen. 2015/02/08 15:32:30 (permalink)
Nate, do you still have any of these blocks left?  I made a nice high end system for my wife and used the Stinger Z97 because of the compact size of the custom open case, but the layout of the board doesn't allow me to use the two different liquid CPU coolers that I've tried to install in it.  The footprint of the mounting brackets are too big for the board, there's too much stuff crammed in right near the CPU.

And the CPU temperature is an issue.  I stress tested it and it gets too hot very quickly with the standard CPU fan and some extra case fans added.  I really need to figure out a liquid cooling solution.

If you have any of these blocks left I'd be interested in acquiring one.  Also any information on what kind of pump/fan setup works well with this would be appreciated!

Since I just registered on these forums because I found this thread, I don't know if I can receive PMs yet.  If you PM and don't get a response, say something on the thread please.  Thanks in advance.

Awesome work!  I wish I was able to do this stuff.

Was it able to be verified fitting the WIFI version?  It doesn't look like it would be an issue.
And
Do you know/think it would be possible get this block capable of working with delidded CPU's? I didn't see this anywhere.

Thanks!

I just need to know the height difference between a regular CPU one and one without the heatsink.
I think I would just go with a regular CPU just to make your life (and mine) easier.

Thanks,

Created an account just for this! Therefore I need 10 posts and 5 days age before I could send you a PM, nate.

I'm starting a Hadron water build (Stinger Z97, EVGA GTX 970 and g3258 until I blow it up) and stumbled across this gem. I'll shoot you an email. Thanks!

ALSO, I will be trying a CPU block with the same basic shape as this block.  But thats another thread.

Yep - I'm the same guy. Can't wait! Since it'll be the centerpiece, I'll be sure to showoff your work in a build thread somewhere.

Just to top things off, this is probably the coolest thing I have EVER done:

And its about the size of the i75820K CPU sitting right next to me.
