Might be waiting for RGB stock. Now that Corsair exclusive rights are gone, and they are becoming the new standard for backlighting if evga went with just red they would be a step behind for their first keyboard.

It would take awhile to design mechanical RGB keyboard and the software for it, even longer if they want the options Corsair RGB software supports.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see evga buy the rights to use another companies RGB keyboard hardware/software. They can make a different software overlay design to cover it up. At PAX East 2015 evga was displaying monoprice upcoming mechanical RGB keyboard. Some people thought that keyboard was made by evga.

They just need a small batch of cherry rgb to program their software. They dont need to use corsair support.

So far their mouse and software was developed in house. Their keyboard prototypes are also built in house also. I think it is just taking awhile due to supply and demand of the cherry mx rgb. Cherry is probably in the process of changing standard led keys factories to mx rgb factories, which takes some time.

I don't see Corsair ever sharing the software they make. They have spent way too much time and money developing it. Later this year we finally get to see what corsair rgb kb software can really do.

Razer and Logitech rgb keyboard software is basic "user friendly". I bet when evga does make a rgb keyboard, the software will be basic too. The complex software is not for everyone, i can see why other companies avoided putting that much effort into the software like Corsair.

Cherry MX RGB switches have been in production for over a year. That should be more than enough time for them to have stock built up.
