As much as I like my Z87, with my old ram kit, it unexpectedly rejected it on one of the channels.

Is this just a cheap stripped down version of the rampage V extreme?

Board is not bad at all, have all new function together with USB 3.1.
That mean Rampage 5 Black will 100% to show up with same function. Board have and OC Socket and all necessary M.2 options.
Flaws are maybe VRM OC Function and they should go with different tone of grey... this is not only black/grey board and that would be much much better without any sign on brown color... maybe is in reality different...
But I can bet she look much better on pictures than in real life.
5 years warranty is big plus.
It would be nice board with same VRM as Rampage 5, LED screen...
You see people need to read codes over android, no visible CPU temp on LED that's flaw but I like more than previous Sabertooth.

I have an z77 Sabertooth.  I cannot say what a GREAT board it is.  Solid as a rock.  Dependable.  I just wished that when I moved to x99 that they had it available and I would have definitely grabbed it over the x99-A, even though this is a great board as well.

You should look careful before you decide to chose. I looked and that board doesn't look so nice and fine in live at all.
Without shield that's one simple 140-150$ board with classic ASUS good function.
Rampage 5 Extreme have nicest VRM I saw and this board will be only 100$ less.
100$ less than Rampage 5 Extreme that's most advanced X99 motherboard with 30 functions different and 10 sensors and controlling everything. OK this board have USB 3.1 and only that cost 40$, but you can buy and R5E/3.1.

I hear board will cost about 300-350$.
Can you believe, for this board...everyone will say No, they are crazy.

But if they install shield that's different picture and customer will say OK.

No LED lights, no little screen for CPU Temps, no some nice sound cards...

Never thought of it that way, take the armor away and it is pretty plain looking. If that is going to be the price I don't know.

I looked OC3D video... Because on this pictures someone will though and expect board same class as Maximus example but when you open card box you see simple motherboard with some cover and rubber protectors for connectors.

$300 for a server grade X99 board? I'm not seeing the problem here.
